The location was perfect, on the bank of the river with lovely views. We were given a free upgrade to Nile view rooms and they were next to each other as requested and looking out over the river. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The beds were confortable. The staff were lovely.

It is around 30 minutes to Aswan city center and boat costs $15 for one way. The bathrooms were old.

It is located by the Nile river and in the center of Nubian Village. It has authentic athmosphere.

A beautiful Nubian style hotel, very relaxed, right on the edge of the Nile. The staff were super friendly and the Nubian village just behind is great fun! Shady offers a fantastic massage nor to be missed and Fofo’s river trips are definitely worth doing. A short walk through the village is a great beach where you can swim safely in the Nile. I will always return here. Shukran Shukran!!

If you want to eat fish, you need to order one day in advance which is not possible for one night stay.

Location is great, right in the heart of Nubian market and next to Nile river. Style of rooms and ambiance. Breakfast was provided in boxes while checking out before breakfast time.

Nothing , some of the fittings in bathrooms are basic, but the Nubian village is a certain charm, so it didn't matter at all, super clean place

This was more than we could have imagined, such a special place and a special culture, felt so safe and taken care of here. The place was so beautiful, right on the Nile and we enjoyed the food and everything. I was very grateful to stay here, and also experience the magic and the people of this village, someday I hope to visit again

Central and they organised the activities for us. We had nothing to worry about. The customer service was amazing! We also got a really good massage.

The room was colorful and imaginatively decorated. We loved the decorations. Mattresses were brand new and the rooms clean. The people, Ahmed, Mohammed and Mohammed, were absolutely wonderful. We had every one of wishes fulfilled and were taken anywhere we wanted to go. I should also add that the food was simple and very, very tasty.

Unfortunately we arrived late and had to leave early. We’d have loved to spend more time there.

It was a unique and relaxing experience to stay at Kato Waidi in the Nubian village. The rooms were beautiful, and staff kind and attentive. Bathroom was basic but clean and in line with the experience. The view from the balcony and sitting areas were stunning. Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Staff so helpful and accommodating with booking and during our stay. Unforgettable.

The WiFi didn’t quite reach to my room.

My favorite stay in Egypt and one of my favorite stays ever. Perfect location right where the boats come in. Property is beautiful. Such a lovely staff. Excellent food with nice river views. Had an adorable room with a cozy bed and a balcony overlooking the Nile River so I slept like a baby. They offer tours, help with boat bookings, and even have a spa so I didn’t have to go far for a massage. Perfect place to relax and chill, which is all I wanted to do. When I wanted to venture into the village and explore Nubian life, I didn’t have to go more than a few steps outside of the hotel.

All was fine for us but if you want up market this isn't for you. It's beds are not the most comfy and don't expect TV or hairdryer but just enjoy the quiet and the views.

We arrived by boat as we had been taken by taxi to the busy streets of Aswan and it was quicker than driving from the river in town. A lovely way to get there. Our rooms were pleasant inside with painted walls and a balcony. We seemed like the only guests so it was very quiet. Beautiful calm mornings watching the river and the boats. We had a large breakfast with omelette, cheese, bread, beans etc and we could choose trips from our hotel to lots of destinations. The rooms and hotel are a little jaded and perhaps somewhat dusty and the odd ashtray might be left. The shower water didn't go down and it's in the bathroom right next to the toilet but no problem. Staff are helpful and if you want to shop there are streets of stalls in the nearby village.

Lovely stay in the heart of the nubian village. We especially loved the food at the restaurant, so delicious!!! The staff are so helpful, organized transport to Abu Simbel & a traditional felucca ride on the nile at sunset.

Thank you for nice room upgrade. We really enjoyed the balcony and the stunning nile view. Mr. Mahmood was also very helpful and caring. He had a lot of tips on how to get around and what to do in the area.
