How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Limited breakfast options with no hot food and same everyday. Limited parking slots but at least you get an advice to park elsewhere in case it is full

Nothing really comes to mind. It was all fine!
The rooms were clean and comfortable. we stayed for one night as we passed through Baden Baden. It is close to the center and the main areas of the town are walkable. The staff was very polite and friendly. The buffet breakfast was decent enough. We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

1. Requiring payment for parking from hotel guests. 2. It is possible to offer more types of eggs for breakfast. 3. Difficulty in receiving an invoice from the hotel directly even if it is an online payment.

The hotel was very easy to find and well situated for walking to the centre of Baden-Baden, the carpark was easy to access from the main road and there was plenty of spaces and room to manoeuvre. Check in was a breeze and soon we were in a bright clean room with a view of the inner courtyard. Happily, tea and coffee was available in the room. The bathroom was a fair size with a powerful shower. We found several appealing restaurants within easy walking distance and later enjoyed a stroll around the very beautiful old city centre. Breakfast was a mixture of hot and cold buffet selections which fuelled us for the day. Overall, a very satisfying overnight stay.

Met the usual high-standards of Holiday Inn hotels in Germany. Close to the center of the town and conveniently on the main bus route to the station (which is 2 - 3 miles from the center). Baden-Baden was delightful even in February: we must return in the summer!

Room was a bit too warm, but you could open a window which helped. Two dogs and parking raised price allmost 50%, but you are able to get this info in advance.
Location was good, extremely friendly staff and pet friendly property. Breakfast was tasty, no warm dishes. There is no restaurant as such, but you could have drinks, snacks and even some pizza. Parking underneath hotel was convenient. Rooms were pretty compact, but modern and well noise insulated.

We had two rooms on the lower floor. The room in the corner ontop of the parking garage, was very cold. We turned the heating up, but we could not get the room warm. The floor was very cold - not recommended for winter. The rooms are not too sound proof, it was rather loud. Unfortunately we had neighbours with a small child that was playing and jumping until 1:30am.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was lovely, and the coffee was fantastic! Location walking distance to the old town. Lovely restaurants close by.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, nice breakfast buffet in the spacious bar area. Parking available in the basement. We stayed for one night only and the hotel perfectly suited our needs.

Only one coffee machine for many breakfast guests. Relatively small rooms for three people. The beds are uncomfortable, especially the kid's bed. Breakfast was average. There was not a mini bar in the room, so we could not keep our drinking water cool.
The hotel occupies a great location within Baden-Baden. It is clean, hospitable, close to the city center just 15 minutes walk, and has lots of restaurants nearby. A good choice.
