How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We were a little bit warm with windows open and no fan, but not too bad.
Our room was small, but very comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. I appreciated the kettle and tee in our room. Can't beat the location: 5 minute walk to main train station and 20 minute walk to city center.

This quite simply has to be the best location possible for a hostel. A two minute walk from the train station and a one minute walk to the Lufthansa airport shuttle. Plus the staff is super friendly and the free drink coupon is appreciated!

There's no hot water in the shower room on the first floor, and I only learnt that when I am wet and shivering in the shower.

Would be nice if they advised better that they do not offer towels and you should bring your own towel.
Breakfast was prompt and good variety, Room was clean and orderly, lighting was limited but available, location is superb close to downtown and everything was simple walking distance. Train, subway, underground, buses all so close made it perfect to get around.

even though it was pretty clean, but the building inside felt a bit old.
The location was really good, it was on walking distance from the busstation. The staffs wear very nice and patient and we were able to even put our luggage there before check-in and after check-out when we went to explore the city.

Inconvenient shower rooms that are not well-equipped for hanging clothes/towels - will need to use your own bag. My room was facing the street, so it gets noisy early as businesses start operations.
Less than 5 minute walk from the central railway station, close to many supermarkets and main city areas, all within walkable distance. Else, plenty of subway and train, tram, bus lines. Also lots of nice food around, especially middle eastern varieties.

There was no toiletries like soap or shampoo in the bathroom, may be some hangers in rooms will help.
The location is just next to Munich Hauptbahnhof, and the staff is super cooperative. I would recommend this for solo travellers or groups of friends. Overall, it's a good stay.

I don’t know if I went too early or too late but unfortunately there was no hot water in the shower.
This was my second time staying at this hostel. For one night I think it’s a good choice, the place is really clean and the people from the reception are super nice. 😊

No blinds, and no curtain
Accessible, convenient and comfortable. No blinds though. Staff are all very helpful and understanding, They let me leave my luggage and early check in which is a bonus.

Bathrooms are common for all in the same floor and small as well! :( I didn’t get hot water in the bathroom! No provisions to hang our clothes or towels in the bathroom! :(

Generally there was some noise in the rooms, but that's just because of the location. Otherwise, the hostel was nice for a short trip to Munich.
Registering and access to the room was very easy. The room was adequate but not great. The showers were OK. The bar in the ground floor was nice!

Bathrooms are not that clean, no space to place your shower kit (shampoo, soap etc), so you just place them on the floor :(
The location of the hostel was very close to the bus/train station which is a huge plus. I booked a room with 12 beds, and for no reason, I was charged a bit higher compared to what was stated in Booking. Later I realized it, but I was so tired to ask these questions. Next time I stayed in the same hostel, the fee was the same as indicated in the Booking. The staff was really kind, and once you check-in, you will get free drink (beer, coke, water etc). Free storage room.
