Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilWould be very nice that the breakfast could initiate around 07:00. Somedays we had to leave earlier because of outside activities and we couldn’t have breakfast in the hotel.
It has a modern architecture with a cosmopolitan vibe. The swimming pool and bar are really nice, the view is wonderful. We had breakfast included in our reservation and it was delicious! A very good amount of food. The music from the environment was really good, modern electronic music.

United StatesParking on the street is not always easy around the hotel.
Great location, spacious and comfortable room, cleaning service every day, very comfortable bed. Staff at the reception are friendly and helpful. The pool is good size infinity pool with ocean view and bar access. Plenty of pool chairs and covered cabins. Bar and restaurant with ocean view and good service.

NetherlandsThe drawback of the good music and fun evenings was that on Fridays and Saturdays there was quite a lot of party noise in the bedroom. Sunday afternoon brunch with music also went on until quite late in the evening. In the end, we didn't mind this too much as we also enjoyed the ambiance.
Beautiful comfortable big room with ocean view. Lovely location. Beautiful (infinity) swimming pool. Lovely restaurant (beautiful view, good food, good vibe). Good music. Also enjoyed by locals. Friendly and personal feel.

United StatesThe fact you had to pay $250 that was not mentioned for deposit when you arrived.... My key card didn't work had to walk to the top floor 3 times only to be given a physical door key..... I was supposed to charge my food to my room and be billed later they had trouble with that from the first day...... At the end when checking out couldn't charge the food to my refund had to wait to check out completely therefore spending extra money on my credit card to avoid international fees which would've been avood had my refund come in from the deposit first... breakfast used to be included as well as had to pay the blackjack bar directly because their staff at the boutique was in a meeting soo couldn't order directly with them and charge it to my room just a mess

BrazilIt wasn't a good experience during our honeymoon. They weren't kind to us, we didn't like the reception. The environment was not friendly, hostile and embarrassing. People are not helpful, they only serve you when asked, and the service is bad, they are not friendly, they don't know how to explain the rules of the place (we got confused several times, they wanted to charge breakfast for the 6 nights and we would like to choose day by day because we are on vacations - it was not possible and they were rude when explaining it to us). The local culture is not a receptive culture and also we had troubles with wi-fi access for more than 2 days (in our room). The floor was always wet because of the humidity, we couldn't open the window because the were under construction - So I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
The room was nice, we were lucky and we stayed in one in the first floor, so we didn't need to climb the stairs. The location was good and we were able to go to the center by walking (even with a car, walk is the best way to reach the center).

BrazilThe service is amateur. The front desk attendant couldn't recommend any tours or restaurants. The staff at the restaurant was careless (it got to the point of serving leftovers from another table). The housekeeping should have taken out the toilet trash on the first day and they didn't. The parking lot is on the street and not inside the property.
The room we got was good. It was large, the AC was great (necessary!) and we didn't have problems with the noise from the pool since we got the city view. The location is great, close to the historic center and with restaurants and bars within walking distance. The pool is excellent.

United StatesThe hotel is a party hotel, mostly filled with a young crowd, and a loud bar that runs late in the evening. It's not the relaxing experience you would expect when going on holiday in the Caribbean. The bar is running loud music until 1am and hotel guests and non-hotel guests can come to hang out at the bar. It gets very crowded to the point where you see 50-100 people (especially Friday nights). The guests at the hotel are all relatively young and accordingly want to party it up and create a good amount of noise. After the bar closes, there were always people either in the hallways or outside talking, laughing, or yelling loudly which would at times last until 2am. This hotel just feels like a party hotel from Miami transplanted to Curacao. It didn't feel social either, if you are traveling alone or want to meet people the atmosphere doesn't allow it. There are much better places on the same street just a few homes further up that will give you a more authentic experience with a good comfort and a social travel feel. It's also way overpriced compared to some of the other places in its class and same location. The pool is what gets you, but you never end up using it because you are surrounded by the best beaches in the world on the island. Definitely not family friendly either.
Modern Hotel in a good area. If you are looking for a young crowd to party with this is where to be. Staff was friendly and helpful most of the time.

United StatesThe noise from the restaurant. Being right above the restaurant that plays loud music until 11pm. No elevator and we had 4 big bags to carry up the stairs without help. Because the hotel also opens up the pool area to anyone it is very crowded. Even as a guest at the hotel we could not sit by the pool.
The room was large with a beautiful ocean view. The bathroom was also large with a nice rain shower head. The bed was comfortable. Good coffee from the coffee maker in the room.
