Food was more expensive than most other places we visited on the island, but the restaurant was busy every night so it must have been good.. Slightly disappointed there was no welcoming vibe at the bar/restaurant during the day to entice us to stay at the resort, instead we always went to other beachside places.

Great beachside location with restaurant and bar options. 2 bed suite was big enough for our group and great to have 2 bathrooms. I guess the point of price difference with other 'resorts' is that Castaway is in need of an upgrade, though it is still fully functional as is and served its purpose well for us.

Unfortunately the property is on the coral reef side of the island, therefore not very suitable for swimming.

Super comfortable bed and loved the refurbished room I stayed in (room#7) Aircon was excellent 👍🏼 Every meal I had there was delicious. All staff were brilliant.

Got charged twice for wifi. I sent my flight details to the accommodation to make sure I had the right dates, they confirmed them, however at check in I was told I had made a mistake with them. They did accommodate the change, but I would rather have known in advanced

Breakfast could be better. They don’t offer any kind of protein (ham, bacon, eggs, cheese…. Anything!). So is basically tea or coffee, milk and bread with butter or jam, and some fruits.

Nice room, air conditioning was quiet , comfortable bed. Sunsets are nice although the lagoon is very rocky on this side.

Only facility was a bar restaurant, bar closed between 13.00 and 16.00 every day. No other bars or restaurants within walking distance and only entertainment on one night, a Sunday.

Office hours 8:30-2:30, for a resort this was not expected…we were out early and stayed out due to tides until 4ish missing the office for hours. When we left beach towels to be changed they were taken from the room and not replaced. Then we asked for new ones and couldn’t change these for a few days as office was closed and then limited office hours. Due to the humidity towels would not dry and we had to find towels to purchase at $50 each! If there was a message box outside office for staff working around hotel this might help to check needs of people staying.

Staff, we had a lovely Fijian man and lady who took care of us as well as the other staff! They are awesome! Room was great. Like a little apartment with a good kitchen! Beach lovely and swimable outside accomodation, snorkelling can be done here too! Pool lovely too. Bed very comfy, clean room and a view of the beach when sitting on the deck! Bathroom has lots of storage which I appreciated. Restaurant/ bar great and close and good security made me feel safe (cameras and sensor lights). Love the cats!!! Very well organised and thought out accommodation!

A special thanks to Minnie, Anita and all the lovely friendly staff. They made our stay super chill. The restaurant food is great. The smaller scale of this place means it is a lot more relaxing and the service is more personal than in a big resort.

We had a really lovely stay at Castaway resort. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We arrived very early before check-in and the staff tried their best to get the room ready for us and offered us breakfast whilst we waited. We also really liked the restaurant and bar area, which was right on the beach so you can chill on the beach with some drinks in the evening. We had dinner in the restaurant twice which had a wide selection of meals.

The breakfast should have included watermelon and pineapple, fruit I associate with an island holiday.

A cosy retreat right next to the Beach. The people were excellent, the beach and food great.
