A bit pricey. Breakfast box was a missed opportunity - change it up please. No easy borrowing of canoes / kayaks to explore the shore....

Location is unbeatable. Staff went out of their way to help. Rooms were a bit dated, but mostly comfortable.

The breakfast box. Even a continental breakfast with cereals, fresh coffee and baked goods sourced locally from Quadra island would be delightful. The box is just grim.

The breakfast box is the biggest weakness. However, the location is just stunning and the hotel is clearly trying to offer diligent service despite being understaffed.

The dinner was excellent. The menu is pretty normal BC west coast food, but the chef did a great job with flavouring and cooking. A few more choices of fresh seafood would have been appreciated, especially considering the season.

You could't get into the restaurant very easily without really planning ahead. Food was great though.

Breakfast was good but could use some variety. Still fine but of course would of preferred a fresh breakfast by far and if you are there for a few days the same thing everyday gets pretty boring

The whole hotel seems to become outdated step by step and needs some reinvests in furniture and interiors. Also here is a lack of service personnel for the restaurant.

Separate cabins for two parties at max each in one lodge. Great nature is surrounding the whole hotel and allows watching wildlife like seals, dolphins, bald eagles and snakes.

No hot water in our room due to propane issues so we had to shower in different units that were run down and kinda creepy.

Stairs up to our room carrying our bags, a slight workout for us ( seniors ..77, 81). . More railings would be helpful. Parking is approximately 2 blocks away.

Clean spacious room with a fantastic view. Dinner menu limited, but food delicious. Boxed breakfast so good also! The property is spectacular.

We wished we had a room on the other side where we would have had the sun. We could hear the guests above us walking on the floor and flushing the toilet, etc.

The location was great and the ocean view was lovely.

Disappointed in the fact that the restaurant was only open for the last evening we were there and only limited hours. The suite offered a barsized refrigerator but nothing more for preparing meals inroom. We had to leave the resort to find our meals elsewhere and the choices were limited, few and fat between. The boat to The Painters Lodge, a sister accommodation, was no longer available. And most disappointing, aside from the restricted restaurant availability, the spa was closed... no reason given. The resort is definitely showing its age the buildings, which could use a bit of a facelift, the decks and stairs could use some repair and paint. I tried to see 'her' as rustic, however, it is more like a senior with noticeable aging, white hair and wrinkles. Still somewhat beautiful in her own right but you can see her better days have passed and sadly, her aging needs are not being met. At the very least... the name should be changed the to April Point Resort. It seems a little deceiving to even have the word Spa in the name, as that is non existent.

Our visit was mid week, Tuesday to Friday. Very relaxing, private, calming environment. Truly beautiful, beautiful grounds and awe inspiring views! Various sealife spotted including a mother seal and her pup who entertained us as we sat on the outdoor deck at the restaurant. The meal was of satisfactory size, visually appealing and definitely palate pleasing. Our suite was comfortable and roomy.

We have been to this resort quite a few times and it needs some upgrading. We love it there and hope it will get back to how it use to be.

Was disappointed that restaurant and spa weren't open and no more water taxi. Rates are still same without the amenities available

the restaurant and spa were closed. I didn’t know that until after I booked and paid for my stay. also the front desk person, (French Male) wasn’t friendly didn’t make eye contact.

The locations and the beautiful views. most of the limited staff working there were exceptional.Stephanie at the front desk for check in was friendly and accommodating the restaurant staff there on the Monday we’re friendly, fun and alway had a smile.
