The farm is beautiful with lots of animals everywhere. You literally walk through cattle paddocks to get to a private river with rapids - we couldn’t believe how cool this river was and chose to catch the rapids far down stream.
Hosts incredible and treat guests like family.
Rooms are comfortable, with nice cold AC and nice showers.
Food recommended by hotel is good and deliver to your room.
Nabutunich is great value for money. We would recommend as a minimum 3 full days here - 1 day for the temple and 2 to enjoy the farm and explore the river.

“We loved the style and the lay out of the house and the garden around it was amazing. The view from the first floor is something we will always remember. A huge tree with lots of birds and a little further away the ever flowing river. The place feels more like a tropical home than a vacation rental. The kitchen is well equipped and the utensils are of good quality. The beds and linens are very comfortable. We appreciated the hosts endeavors at being eco friendly and the lack of airconditioning wasn’t a problem. We loved our stay at Alma del rio!”
