Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAbout the hotel? Nothing. About Hamilton? I wished Portofino Italian restaurant hadn't closed because, somewhat controversially, I think/thought it better than Little Venice.
Daily room service pancakes & maple syrup, coffee, and fresh orange. The bar and restaurant area under the awning is a very pleasant place to while away a leisurely dinner. The hotel is next to the oddly-named but much fun car hire of Twizy. A very Bermudian experience well recommended. A little of British history cheek by jowl with American modernity. Bermuda is wonderful if a little expensive.

United StatesI didn’t like the fact that I had to go off the premises to the post office and stand in a long line in the heat & humidity for a COVID-19 test to return home, when there was a testing site right on the Hotel premises. This should be offered to all guest of the Hotel.
I like the location, customer service they provided, the food was amazing, the night life was fun and the Hotels Art Collection was amazing.

United StatesThat we had to leave.
There are not enough characters in the world to say how wonderful our experience was. We travel a lot and never felt so welcomed with such personalized service. Niki, a manager was exceptionally sweet, but everyone from the wait staff to housekeeping to concierge deserves 5/5 stars. I think this hotel has ruined future trips for us since everywhere we go will never measure up! We never stay at the same hotel twice but would certainly do so next visit. Stop searching/comparing hotels. This is the one!

United KingdomSmoking areas limited. Was told off by security twice as my son and I were chatting quietly at the pool after 10pm. We were not allowed to sit there apparently. We thought it was far less intrusive to our neighbours if we sat there rather than our balcony. Fire alarm went off at midnight on 17th April and nobody was ushered to the evacuation point and we all were left stranded by the pool with no information. We assumed it was OK to talk then!!

United StatesNow for the problems: The common areas, entrance/reception furnishings are tired looking with scuffed tables and sofas. We booked 2 expensive harbour view suites as they were “updated” (I even phoned the hotel who confirmed they were redone, I didn’t ask ‘when?’). We were ‘upgraded’ to the Dame Flora Duffy Suite and its neighbouring suite. I would estimate, by the furnishings, that these was redone 10 - 15 years ago. These suites have large balconies with lovely views of the marina and the pool. The room was clean and comfortable however the curtains had so much dust in them that we were continually sneezing and had stuffy noses. My 2 year old granddaughter played hide and seek behind the curtains and that sent dust flying everywhere. I don’t think these have been vacuumed or cleaned since they were originally hung. I usually look for hotel rooms without carpets and with blinds instead of curtains to collect dust. There is scaffolding over one side of the hotel where the plaster work is being redone, mercifully no work was done during our holiday-time stay. But this did mean we couldn’t open the bedroom or dining area curtains unless we wanted to look at scaffolding. Perhaps this is the reason for all the dust? Hopefully the interiors will get another update during construction. It’s time.
We visited between Christmas and New Years so Bermudas beautiful beaches were not a priority for us. The location of the Hamilton Princess was perfect; in the town of Hamilton, close to the ferry dock, restaurants and shops and central on the island for trips to the north or south end. The staff were all fabulous - helpful, friendly and efficient. We had no problem with the added daily gratuity of $39 on the room charge or the 17% added everywhere. The food was ok, regular big hotel fare, except at Intrepid, which was fabulous.

TurkeyWhen I get into the room, none of the phones and AC were not working. I could not even find something to eat as I arrived late and in-room phone not responding. Hotel shows itself like a beach hotel but the hotel beach is 30 mins drive. Adjacent hotels with similar quality are 70% cheaper, yes, really 70% cheaper. There is always room at booking.com but the hotel always says we are fully booked and charging high price.

United KingdomThere were a few things that I felt really let the hotel down and made it feel as though the price of the hotel isn’t returned as value for money. While I also totally appreciate that there is a premium when visiting Bermuda that I was prepared for, what I felt went way above this were things like $14 for a pint in the hotel bar, which actually meant that we didn’t spend any time there at all, and absolutely astronomical prices at the beach club eg $18 per cocktail, c$30 for a small pizza +17% service, and $35 per head for breakfast. As mentioned above, the pools are beautiful but we couldn’t help but feel that the adult pool and kids pool are the wrong way around here. The kids pool is the infinity pool, full of steps and shelves that seem more dangerous for children, and it feels a shame that adults looking for a quiet relax by the pool can’t enjoy this at the infinity pool area. Another negative unfortunately was the quality of the room cleans. Pretty much every time our room was cleaned, an item that needed replacing eg towels, cups, shower gels was missed. Twice our room wasn’t cleaned at all even though we were out by 9:30 and not back until 5, and once our personal items were knocked onto the floor and left under the bed. Most disappointingly however was the response to our request for a shower after check out on our last day. After having stayed at the hotel for 10 nights, we had a full day at the end of our trip and needed shower facilities before we headed to the airport. When requesting this, the reception assured us that there were “no shower facilities on site” and that the only option was to spend $240 for late check out. This was both really disappointing, but also frustrating as we already knew that there were showers by the marina, and showers in the gym. Having stayed for 10 nights at the price we paid, I would expect better service than this.
The location of the hotel is one of its biggest selling points, within a 15 minute walk from the centre of Hamilton. The hotel doesn’t have a beach on site but runs regular and very reliable buses two and from the beach each day. The hotel beach is also beautiful and the beach staff were excellent. The pools are both beautiful, with lovely views over the bay and marina. The hotel gym is very good with Peletons and good equipment as well as it being 24 hr access. The doorman at the hotel were always super welcoming and pleasant, as were the pool staff.

DenmarkBermuda is expensive, but hotel is somewhat worn down and not what I would expect of a hotel of the class they are in and even in the context of Bermuda I find it expensive. Coffee shop which is probably not the hotel's but a leaseholder's not up to the same level as hotel pertains to be.
Nice bar and restaurant. Friendly service. Good atmosphere and ambience in the hotel. I had a modern rooms. UNless you have the expensive internet solution (or a better room than I had) internet is slow.
