Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaOur room overlooked the adult pool which had music blaring right below our balcony for the two happy hour timeframes. It could use a decent restaurant on the property, in addition to Uncle Tony’s pizza place (which served tasty pizza) and Double Down Restaurant (Sports bar). The kitchen had no basic essentials, ie salt and pepper, vegetable oil, or coffee.
Very close to Eagle Beach and could use palapas on the beach. Large Super Foods grocery store across the highway. Lots of space inside the room and included kitchen facilities. Staff were able to compensate for loss of hot water and 2 nights on no water due to a burst pipe.

United StatesWater currents make it difficult to float without doing any work. Palm Beach wins out on this one. The complex inside and outside is outdated. Not much you can do to the outside regarding a face-lift but inside furniture must be changed out. New counter tops would be nice. etc/
The beach itself is wonderful. Short walk and you're there. Plenty of palapas to use as long as you get up early.

ItalyI was expected buffet breakfast as in other part of the world. Furthermore, you had a limited choice on the menu, unless for extra charge. This is unfair. Check-in procedure was very long. We waited for almost 1h 30min although we had an online reservation.

BrazilTo walk to the beach you have to go through another resort lobby called Las Cabanas they don't allow you to go by shirtless or wet. The beds are very small you can't sleep two adults comfortably, good thing our room had 2 beds. The hut and chairs at the beach are first come first serve however guests from Las Cabanas wake up at 6am and place their towels on our chairs, leave and don't come back until 10am, leaving no hut available. The food and drinks at the pool restaurant are waaay overpriced. I paid $10 usd for fried calamaris at the Renaissance Island restaurant and they charge $13 usd for theirs same size. Also the drinks are made with very bad vodka/rum. You are better off going to supermarket called SuperFood and buying your liquor bottle there and making your own drink. The restaurant just outside the resort called DoubleDown is also overpriced and not very good.
The hotel is close to the beach like 4 min walk. They have 3 swimming pools.

United StatesThe Lobby is small and very busy.
The rooms wer every spacious and up to date. Housekeeping was excellent. Ryan at the Front Desk took time to take care of his customers. I lost my Driver's License and Credit card. I thought I lost it at Super Foods. He called the store for me and the store video had validated I had put my license and credit card in my pocket after check out. The store would not have done this if I asked. Ryan was awesome. His extra efforts and service would encourage me to stay at Eagle Resort in Aruba in the future. You guys left us a bottle of champagne and balloons in our room because it was our 30th wedding anniversary. Thank you!

United StatesWe have stayed at Eagle Aruba 3 times and each time we could spend very little time in the room because it was freezing cold. I understand the need for a/c in humid climates but this was ridiculous even adjusting the temp in the room. And outside was equally unpleasant because the music was so loud. The great music and DJ and live performers were great but turn the volume down just a bit…no need to be screaming at me
Proximity to the beach. Nice room with more than ample space

The resort is very close to Eagle Beach, voted the best Caribbean beach for 2023. Also close to a very nice grocery store (Super Foods) with imported goods from the Netherlands, Spain, France, etc.
