Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyWe expected to have a working pool, but it was still dirty due to the off season. Would have been fine, if we knew beforehand. Same with the breakfast buffet. We got a plate with breakfast and had no opportunity to choose. It was tasty though. It is located very far from the center and there are almost no restaurants or markets around.
The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room had a great view over the sun setting over the Mediterranean sea. The food was good.

Czech RepublicI was happy. All is simple but pleasant.
The hotel is away from the city in a quiet and peaceful place. The beach is beautiful (pebbles, not sand) and also the pool is very pleasant. The hotel belongs to a family who is present and they are all very nice. The breakfast is not plentiful but everything is local. I had a room with an amazing sea view and i had a very good sleep there

GreeceOur rooms were very clean and cozy. It was constantly raining and we didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy the pool and the beach. The location is quite away from the centre of Sarandë, so it is better to have a car or to use a taxi.

United KingdomIt needs a bit of modernisation, but it doesn’t have an impact on the quality of the holidays. The food is quite expensive, 300 lek for 1.5l of water, when you need 8 bottles a day, is quite steep.
Pool - amazing! We were here in August, we were always able to find the beds by the pool. Staff - polite and helpful, we saw how they dealt with some entitled guests. Cleaners - hardworking, changing towels every day (I don’t think it is needed) and bedsheets every 3 days. Sea - beautiful private beach, bring the shoes as the stones are big. Breakfast - good selection of sweet or savoury, vegetable, fruit, not a great fan of the quality of the breakfast coffee though 😉 You will need a car if you want to travel around, you can’t walk to Saranda, but this means you stay away from the noise. Thank you for the lovely holiday.

United Kingdomthe staff in particular one staff member at reception was extremely rude, breakfast was cold most of the time no matter how early you get there, and shops and restaurants are not in walking distance. the first room we got was dirty so we asked to change it and the second one 2 out of 3 light bulbs didnt work.
it has a private beach by the hotel, supposed to be included although they made us pay extra anyways, the swimming pool was quite nice, the restaurant on the hotel was quite expensive and breakfast was good with not too much choice but good overall.

United KingdomThe property is not ideally located if you plan to use public transport to get there. The nearest bus stop is a good 15 minute walk away, and with luggage and 2-year-old, it wasn’t practical. Taxi’s are very expensive (I wouldn’t even pay that much for that journey in the UK) so the best way to get there is by driving yourselves. Oh, and take a good bug spray!
The family that run this place were amazing. They were really attentive, but not intrusively so, they spoke good English and explained everything well. They even gave my son a toy as a way to remember them! It was a very family friendly environment with a small pool for non-swimmers (maybe 0.5m deep), a deeper pool for people wanting to jump/actually swim, a play area for young children and a games room with FIFA 23 and ping pong available. The rooms were light and spacious with towels and bins changed daily, the food at the restaurant was a of a high quality and the pools were incredibly clean. It had its own little section of beach and boasted Netflix and Disney+ on their televisions.

United KingdomIn my opinion, the best location in Saranda. Private beach with free sunbeds for hotel guests. Not crowded beach, which is very relaxing. Lovely large swimming pool for adults and another one for children. Cleaned daily . Perfect for families with children! Breakfast is continental Mediterranean with lots of food to choose!

AustraliaFor the price we paid, you would think the hotel would supply toiletries...water bottles and an iron! Upon booking it stated side views / ocean views. When we got to our room we had village views with a little side view. They were happy to.put us in the other side view which had the city views for an extra 180€ per night. Not worth the money if you ask me! Hotel is 15min drive from the city but one of the 3 hotels with a pool and access to the private beach. Also bring cash...they don't have eftpos you need to pay with Lekë ( Albanian currency)...this is a major downfall in this day and age.
The pool and private beach!

ItalyI didn't expect that you can not go to the city on foot, so you are kinda trapped in the hotel with a very average restaurant and overpriced snacks and drinks from the hotel. The biggest delusion was a playground, very small and a bit broken. There is also the inner kids' room but it looked more like a depository. It seemed that there were people not from the hotel using the swimming pool and the private sunbeds on the beach.
The hotel has a really nice swimming pool, the kids enjoyed it a lot.

United StatesRooms are smaller then I imagined. I guess that’s a European thing . The showers are extremely tight . The beach like all of Saranda is all huge rocks . You will need swimming shoes . The road to get to the resort is still not paved .
It is a family ran hotel . Very friendly , polite , and very relaxing stay . All the staff is family and they will try as much as possible to cater to any and all reasonable requests . It’s a beautiful hotel and has a great pool .
