Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOne of the receptionists was not as friendly or helpful as the others and she seemed reluctant to want to store our bags after check-out until our flight later in the day.
Excellent location, good sized room and spacious bathroom. All the facilities worked well and the bed was very comfortable. We particularly liked the social space in the atrium.

United KingdomWe knew about these points before we booked so we were ready for both. The resort is on a steep hill, as long as you’re fit not really an issue ( and the staff took us uphill with luggage on a buggy ). The resort is close to lively bars & restaurants so handy for food & drink but some noise in the evening - didn’t find this a problem.
We had booked the King Studio with Sea View. Views were good over Falmouth harbour. We had an external issue with the power to our room. The staff were very responsive ( sorry didn’t get your names ). The fault happened about 20:00, it was dark inside & out so the issue couldn’t be resolved until the morning. The staff helped move us to an Executive Suite ( an upgrade) and we were sorted by 21:00. We didn’t need it but for large groups travelling there are lots of interconnected rooms. Very handy for west side of English Harbour - 10 minutes walk to entrance.

United KingdomWithin our accomodation the kitchenette 1of 2 plugs didn't work plus one of the two rings to hob didn't heat up at all, we did notify at reception. The bathroom toilet flush when we first arrived didn't work very well but was fixed the next day! & Needed desperately a fan to work with showers & toilet. Being in and around the yacht area is more lively but the noise from one bar at night was unbelievably bad up to 2 am in the morning, the doors were vibrating I had to use cushions to buffer the noise. Room was a nice but attention to these issues wood have made a better.
Being on the harbour front with the nearby Gallion & pigeon beaches were lovely also the food restaurants available.

United StatesUnfortunately, the wonderful location is also a bit of a problem. With all the bars and restaurants in the surrounding area, loud music is pretty pervasive till the wee hours every night.
Loved the room, the view, the decor. Best of all was Leon at reception; gracious and helpful over and over!

United Kingdomone side of the room was next to a path and the shutter to that wall could not be closed enough to stop the noise of chatting residents walking past. One half of the large double bed was ver creaky and made a loud creak at the slightest movement - kept both of us awake half the night.
a big spacious room with well equipped kitchen off and a large shower room with plenty of really hot water. Extremely convenient to the marina, the hub of activities and wonderful Pigeon Beach a few minutes walk away.

United KingdomIt was fine for me but it can be noisy on a saturday night as there is busy bar across the street. However the music stopped at a decent time and wasn't an issue for us.
The beds were very comfortable. Great view from the balcony. The location was excellent with restaurants / bars nearby. Free gym access was a plus.

Staff were absolutely amazing. We ended up extending our stay and had to move rooms a few times to accommodate us and they couldn’t have done more for us. Rooms were lovely and beds comfortable. It’s a pity the hotel doesn’t have a pool but plenty of beaches within walking distance. Great location in English harbour

United KingdomIt's on a steep hill, hence the great view, but buggies are available to get you up. Small issue with neighbours dogs barking. Some noise at the weekend but it is a party place.
Great location for bars & restaurants. Really spacious room & balcony area with lovely views over Falmouth Harbour. It's like a mini apartment. Spotlessly clean & comfortable but the room looked a little tired! Kitchen area was well stocked. Pigeon Point beach is nearby & stunning. Was ideal for the last 2 nights of our visit.

United KingdomHad some issues with our shower initially but these were quickly resolved. Could get quite noisy at night mainly due to tree frogs so not sure if can be helped or would be the case anywhere - but it wasn’t as hard to tune them out as I feared
Had a great stay! It was a comfortable room with a little kitchen and easy temperature control. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of different and reasonably priced restaurants within a couple minutes walk, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the lovely Pigeon Point Beach or the other way Nelson’s Dockyard. The staff were very helpful and friendly and helped to arrange taxis and tours. Would recommend!

United KingdomFab location right in the heart of English Harbour. Easy to walk to bars, cafes and restaurants. I had a balcony with great view of the superyachts in the harbour. Taxi rank down below but wasn't noisy as I was expecting. Great to have tea and coffee available 24/7 in the courtyard. 10 minute walk to Pigeon Point Beach

United KingdomLighting at night and placement of switches. Could be done with a spruce up in the bathroom where it was beginning to show signs of aging. Water and coffee in reception area often not there which was a shame.
Room was clean and tidy as expected albeit slightly tired looking in the bathroom. Lighting and switches were minimal. Wi-Fi was good but insecure. Great view from my balcony overlooking the marina complex. Location was first class. Staff very warm and friendly.
