Khun Lala the manager and her team go out of their way to make sure guests have everything they need. Breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day with different dishes served daily. La and Waan in the office helped us with recommendations of things to do, organising transport and in general ensuring our Chiang Mai experience was first rate. Wat Pha Lat and North Gate Jazz club were places we may not have known about if not for Lala.

Ideally located in the centre of Chiang Mai, Arun Dara Villa offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, free private parking and room service. Everything. The place was awesome.

Baansuwanburi is situated just outside Chiang Mai city and has an outdoor swimming pool and garden. Boasting a shared lounge, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Great experience! The living conditions are extraordinary, super quiet and clean. The hotel just like a botanical garden. The staff is also super nice! Btw, there is a Michelin restaurant nearby which is awesome!

Situated along the tranquil banks of the majestic Ping River locates the luxurious X2 Chiangmai Riverside Resort. This location is so beautiful and serene. The building, the facilities, the food and most importantly: the staff. Poppy, Nest and Praew made our stay, our meals and all our activities so pleasant. The included breakfast is fantastic and the restaurant on site has a Michelin guide certification which tells you all you need to know about the quality of food. The property has everything you need so no need to venture far, however, the bicycles are available for use and scooter rental is cheap and convenient to do.

Villa Mahabhirom - SHA Plus is located in Chiang Mai and has an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. With free WiFi, this 5-star resort offers a shuttle service with an additional charge. It is very beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff the cuisine is delicious

Conveniently located not far from Chiang Mai Old Town, Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort offers spacious rooms fitted with wooden furniture. Amazing!! Resort was exceptional, I cannot fault anything. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Great location, walking distance to town. Definitely would visit again.

Hongkhao Villa offers a Lanna-style boutique resort located in Chiang Mai, close to the Mae Ping River. Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Great breakfast. Very nice atmosphere, the proximity of the rooms allows intimacy but also encourage socializing with other guests.

Situated in Chiang Mai, 3.7 km from Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, Amata Lanna Village อมตะล้านนาวิลเลจ features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The grounds and rooms are absolutely beautiful and the staff are top notch. They were extremely attentive to our needs. They even noticed from my passport that I was celebrating my birthday and stopped by our room with two pieces of cake to sing Happy Birthday. We really enjoyed chatting with the owner while we waited for a tour guide to pick us up. She even showed us how to pick out ripe Burmese grapes from one of the trees on the property! We found that the location suited our needs. There was a small, but bustling night market within a few blocks as well as an open-air market nearby. It was a little far from some of the main attractions, but Bolt (the Thai version of Uber) was easy and inexpensive to use. And, we weren't surrounded by tourists or shops geared towards tourists, which we prefer. We also really enjoyed the pool after braving the intense heat! We have stayed in some really amazing hotels (e.g., open-air tree house bungalow in Mexico, renovated Turkish bath house in Greece, renovated wine cave in France) and Amata Lanna Village ranks right up there with some of our most memorable stays. We found it to be a perfect combination between luxurious and charming. If we are ever in Chiang Mai again, we wouldn't even consider staying elsewhere. We had a fantastic stay!

Situated in the sleepy farming village of Huai Sai in Mae Rim, Country Retreat offers bungalows and an outdoor pool. This place is truly amazing! Ying and Pete made us feel so welcome, very warm and generous people. Ying is a great chef, she cooked the best meals of our entire trip in Thailand. It was cozy to have a beer and a chat with the other guests at Pete’s bar in the afternoon. The bungalows are very well equipped, and neat and tidy. Everything just works perfectly. There is such an amazing view over the rice fields with village and mountains behind. The pool was very nice too, it was clean and fresh and had some very nice shade areas around. We loved everything about this place, and would really recommend it to others looking for a nice place to relax with great hosts. We stayed with a 7 month old baby and had a really good experience with our stay at Pete and Ying fantastic place. We hope to return some day!
