Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance. Yakaduru is a beautiful place with many sustainable features. The Yakaduru restaurant is great to visit. We explored the chena in the village side of Yala, where we saw tree houses that offered an amazing view of the Yala area. We also enjoyed drinking tea from coconut shell cups, a unique and sustainable experience. The people we met were very friendly, and even though they couldn't understand us, they communicated well through expressions and with the help of our guide. It was a wonderful experience meeting such friendly people in Sri Lanka. The rooms at Yakaduru Lodge are comfortable and cool, with clay walls and palm leaf roofs. We also visited the beach and had a great time.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was spacious and comfy. The view of the lake from the balcony spectacular. The food from the restaurant was delicious and well presented. The hotel is also close to 3 national parks. We loved the Thaulle Resort and left with heavy hearts. Will definitely stay there again.

Boasting a balcony with garden views, a garden and a bar, Kingfisher Beach Resort -Yala can be found in Kirinda, close to Nidangala Beach and 500 metres from Kirinda Beach. Beautiful house in a divine environment, you just hear the sound of the waves and the peacocks! Shehan the owner is super super nice and he became a friend he is a warm and giving host and a wonderful cook!

Hilton Yala Resort has a fitness centre, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Yala. 21 km from Situlpawwa and 22 km from Tissa Wewa, the property provides a bar and a private beach area. Hilton Yala is a stunning hotel, newly built and with every detail of the highest specification. Our pool villa was spacious and beautifully designed. The grounds are immaculate and the expansive pool is incredible. The real selling point of this hotel however is the staff and the amazing service. Every single member of staff we encountered on our two night stay was friendly and helpful. You really get a sense of a hotel that want you to have the best stay possible and will go out of their way to make sure that happens. We were lucky enough to go on a morning safari with ranger Praneeth, who was so intent on finding us the elephants we wanted to see that he extended our safari by an hour to ensure it happened ! In the end, not only did we see a herd of elephants but a leopard too. It really is a magical place and we are already planning a return trip.
