We had an amazing vacation. The best was the stunning view over the beach from our balcony. The room was very big, loved the rainfall shower. The breakfast selection was the biggest we have ever seen and every single dish was delicious. Dinners were over the top too. We very much enjoyed having the surf spot right in front of the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mirissa Reef Serenity and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the host, David, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. His warm and friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease, and we knew we were in for a fantastic stay. The hotel itself is relatively new, and it's clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into every detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The quality of the bathrooms was particularly impressive, with modern fixtures and luxurious amenities. The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable, especially for those who love surfing. Situated in front of a reef, it's perfect for advanced surfers looking for a challenge. Additionally, there is a stunning snorkeling spot just a short walk down the beach, where you can explore the vibrant marine life to your heart's content. One thing to note is that while the hotel is in front of the reef, you can't swim directly in front of the property. You'll need to walk a bit further down the beach and navigate some rocks, so I would recommend bringing water shoes for added comfort. The energy at Mirissa Reef Serenity is truly special, and a large part of that is thanks to the incredibly friendly staff. In fact, they were the friendliest staff we encountered during our entire two-week trip. David, who is French, brings a touch of Western style to the breakfast offerings, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We visited the hotel with our six-year-old son, and it was a hit with the whole family. We had a fantastic time spotting wild animals in the reef and during our snorkeling adventures. Overall, our stay at Mirissa Reef Serenity was nothing short of perfect. From the welcoming atmosphere to the beautiful surroundings, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!

Located in Weligama, Weligama Temple Tree has a garden and free WiFi. All rooms boast a private bathroom. The rooms also have a terrace. Guest rooms at the resort are equipped with a seating area. From the first moment I arrived until I left I felt absolutely comfortable. This good feeling, apart from the nice facilities and the very good situation, was mainly thanks to such welcoming and wa attitude from the incredible host Chinthaka, who, after only a week, I even consider a friend. I went to Weligama for surfing and also took profit to visit the surrounding areas and make the safaris (Udawalawe and Yala). They arranged everything from Temple Tree and brought me from there. It was fantastic. I only cared to enjoy. A well, I appreciated a lot all restaurant suggestions from Chinthaka. thanks to that I could try actual local food. So good. What to say about the breakfast. I will only say that, after 3-4h surfing sessions, I was not able to finish with everything. Delicious. Temple Tree definitively exceeded my expectation. I found not only a great accommodation, but also a constant support for my stay there and lots of advises and suggestions for the rest of my trip that made it unforgettable. My gratitude and congratulations to Chinthaka and his charming wife for their work with Temple Tree. I absolutely recommend Temple Tree.

I stayed only two days at this amazing place, and really wish I could stay more next time. It’s close to Mirissa beach, but hidden and surrounded by a small river. The sky was so clear at night, I’ve never seen so many stars so clearly, which you can watch from a roof top. Waking up for the birds singing and having a perfectly made breakfast, which was such a large portion I couldn’t even finish. The staff is really making you feel home during the stay. They arranged a boat trip and whales watching for me on a discounted price since I stayed with them. Would love to come back and would recommend it to others as well.

The location was perfect for us, we enjoyed the tranquility of the river and surrounding nature while being only a short walk away from the beach and surf spots. We also enjoyed the food very much, a different kind of breakfast every morning (sometimes sweet, sometimes savoury, always a surprise) and beautiful plates with rice, curry including multiple different components in the evening. The best part though was the sweet family that made us feel very welcome.
