I liked the breakfast and juices 😋 they arranged for us the room earlier which made us very happy after a long flight and transfer. Also, they answered all messages in a short period. This is a very special lodging option that stands out from the crowd. You are really in nature. When checking in, the owner showed us an elephant footprint just next to our hut. One morning we saw a hornbill on the adjacent balcony. View from the balcony to Sigiriya Rock is amazing. Room is quite spacious for us to open three suitcases at the same time. There are mosquito nets on some of the windows to keep them open during the night. We were welcomed in style with tea and palm sugar based sweet. Chena Huts was the only place where we received such welcome. Breakfast was freshly prepared and plentiful. Each room has stairs to go up to, the owner helped to bring our luggages to the room. They can also book elephant safaris, however they are conscious about conflict of interests with driver companies organizing a full tour. Make sure to clarify what is agreed and not agreed as part of your driver contract.

Loved the little separate cabins for rooms. Nice big comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Nice relaxing pool area and very clean. Had dinner from the restaurant one night which was delicious and the breakfast each morning was great! Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Offered to help to arrange tours and transport if needed but not pushy at all.

An amazing resort, into the jungle. We stayed in the wooden bungalow, which was a great experience. The staff really helpful in all our demands. The pool had a stunning view to Lion’s rock and Pidurangala. Great variety of food. We were on a honeymoon and they offered us a cake and some drinks. Will visit them again for sure. This hotel was absolutely exquisite, rooms are nestled away at the forest edge. The staff are super helpful and the food was next level. The facilities are stunning. The only thing to note it’s about 7-8km from sigiriya but the hotel does offer shuttle services at a minimal fee. Definitely a must stay!
