Loved the design of the resort. Felt like I was immersed in the culture. Service was incredible and very accommodating. The staff are very proactive for anything you might need. Loved the adults only section. And it’s included in the price of your stay. Complimentary champagne and canapés was a beautiful touch. The activities are super fun too! They have an app you download to help make the stay more convenient and you can plan ahead.

Located by the beach along Fiji’s Coral Coast, Tambua Sands Beach Resort features a fresh water outdoor pool and a restaurant. Its tour desk organises reef walks and visits to Fijian villages. Free parking is provided.

Location was perfect. Our Beach Front Burre had a beautiful view of the water, you could take a very long walk along the sandy beach, the coral waters had gorgeous blue starfish. Had a nice dinner in their restaurant. We arrived very late after delayed flights and staff was very accommodating. Enjoyed their kayaks and good quality snorkel gear. Staff were cutting down coconuts and generously cutting open and handing out to guests as we walked by -- nice!

The staff were super friendly. Nice atmosphere and not crowded like the bigger resorts. Good food, but close to other restaurants too. Basic rooms, but there was everything we needed. Nice comfortable bed.

Breakfast was delicious. My grandma and I loved the pancakes with fresh fruit and cream. We loved the staff, they go above and beyond every time we stay at Geckos. Fire spinning and dancing was so good to watch Tuesday and Friday night. I celebrated my 23rd birthday and the resort went above and beyond for me!

Very nice rooms, big and airy. Beautiful setting, lush and green all around, still just beside the road. Very good restaurant, excellent food and not pricy like most of the resort restaurants in Fiji. Not to mention that the place is very well kept, all spotless, and the staff, an outright 10. Hard to get anything better.

Location - close to the Shangri-La as we were here for a wedding. We did come in late - this was because our flight was delayed, they did stay open for us to check us in. We did have two room books, when I couldn't change the booking online, but figured too late when I should have organised it by contacting the resort directly. The service of the place was amazing, they were very friendly and quick to sort out any issues. Food - was decent and fairly well-priced. The little frogs were super cute at night time they would come out.

Food, unfortunatly the food market for the area was poorly stocked for us, mostly can food, if you want food you have to go to Suva or Sigatoka, next time we would stay at a resort. We did go accross the road for dinner at Maui Palms but was refused as we were not staying there. Our only issue was people being showed through the villa as it is for sale which we did not know. I came for a wedding at the Shangri La and travelled alone. Gecko resort is perfectly located a short walk to the hotel. They were incredibly welcoming of a female solo traveller and nothing was too much trouble from letting me my room early to letting me keep the room til late for my evening return flight. Clean comfortable rooms - best nights sleep. Evening entertainment and excellent food, drink and cocktails. A little gem if you are touring Fiji make sure you add it to your list.
