Very happy that I didn't book in Deadwood which looks like fun but also very touristy. The Town Hall Inn is a historical gem with each bedroom one of the rooms of the old town hall and still with the name of the room above the door. The room was really well appointed and with huge ceilings. I was in the Deliberation room and it was lovely to think of all the town discussions that took place in the room. The owners are new and are clearly dedicated to making the Inn as good as it can be. The provision of plugs and USB chargers by the bed are a perfect example. There is a bar is the basement (which used to be the police cells) with micro brewery beers that are worth visiting the Inn for on their own merit. The bartender Chris is a delight and she had that great ability to bring parties together in the bar so that you make new friends. I am traveling across the US from coast to coast and this has been one of the highlights of my trip.

This was our first stay at the AmericInn in Belle Fourche as it often is booked when we come through for work trips. I will attempt to stay here each time I am in the area on future trips. The breakfast is amazing! They have this lovely woman who makes you an omelet or waffles and they have so many choices of breakfast foods it’s really unheard of for a hotel. The interesting part is that at least when I booked it, I didn’t have to choose a rate that included breakfast as every room seemed to have that option (not sure if that is always the case but it was for our dates of travel). The pool/spa here is nice, clean and the rooms were equally so. The staff (two of which we interacted with are the actual owners) are so friendly and responsive. I met a gentleman who travels for work in the parking lot and he volunteered without me asking his opinion that this is “the” place to stay in the area.

Well maintained property, staff was welcoming & friendly, security cameras everywhere made me feel so safe. Will definitely visit again if I came to Sturgis again
