The biggest 2 trumps of Mahali Zanzibar were the location and most importantly, the people! Firstly, it's located in the middle of everything, right on the beach and in the middle of Paje beach overlooking the ocean, just a few min walk away from the little market and grocery store. Secondly, the staff in Mahali - every single one of them was such a sweetheart! They were very welcoming and so personal and that in the most positive meaning of this word. People were always smiley, positive and always ready to help whenever you needed it. What's more, the place itself is really nice and clean as well and as I already said it had a nice view over the beach. The room was super spacious. They made our beds, changed towels and cleaned the room every day. This is all really nice! However, more of a luxury. We would have been totally fine with the same towels since it would be better to save water :D But all in all I don't whine.. The only thing that was little funny, not that it was something I did not like, but I was not used to this, was the breakfast. The food itself was delicious and you were able to order literally everything you wanted from the menu, but the way it was organised was strange. We knew that the breakfast was included in the stay, but they did not explain how does it work, if I was able to order a specific amount of items from the menu or there was no limit. Maybe this is something I would recommend them to rethink or at least explain to guests. After we understood though, we just ordered almost everything from the menu every morning. Just the first interaction with the staff at the breakfast table was funny. :)

Baobab Africa Lodge Zanzibar está en Mtende, a 35 km de Zanzibar Butterfly Centre, y dispone de alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, jardín y terraza. I travelled with my kids and to be honest this place did not feel like a lodge or hotel, it felt like home away from home. Everyone from the owners Eric and Sophie to all the staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming. They made it so hard for us to leave. We really enjoyed our vacation and we will for sure go back there. Thank you to all of the Lodges staff and a big thank you to Eric and Sophie for make our trip a memorable one. We will always remember this holiday.

Mahi Mahi Beach Hotel se encuentra en Jambiani, a pocos pasos de Playa de Jambiani, y ofrece alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, jardín y salón de uso común. Un sitio idílico. En frente del mar, en una zona muy tranquila y agradable de Zanzíbar (Jambiani). Todo el staff un encanto, muy alegres y nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Las habitaciones muy espaciosas, limpias y bonitas. Todas las instalaciones del hotel muy cuidadas. Vistas directas a primera línea mar y a la piscina del hotel. Desayuno súper rico, así como la comida y cena a la carta. 100% recomendable: si volvemos a Zanzibar repetiremos sin duda!

Amani Hotel Paje tiene piscina al aire libre, jardín, terraza y restaurante en Paje. El alojamiento dispone de bar y se encuentra a pocos pasos de Playa de Paje. This was a beautiful place to stay, we spent 7 nights here and loved every minute of it. The property is a short 2-3min walk from the beach. The rooms are large and well furnished with all the basics you would find in a normal hotel/B&B in Europe. The bathroom is very big and the water pressure is really good. Hot water comes on quickly. The bed may be slightly on the firm side, but this didn’t bother us. The next best thing is the food! Breakfast is copious and delicious, but all the other meals are also very well prepared. Everything is fresh and tasty.

BaraBara Eat&Sleep - Eco Boutique Hotel dispone de bicicletas gratis, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza en Paje. El desayuno es increíble!!! El mejor que hemos probado en toda la isla. Los dueños y el personal muy atentos y muy amables, te atienden siempre con una sonrisa. Y las pizzas de la cena son brutales!!! Especial mención a la pizza No Name que está brutal!!! Repetiríamos sin duda!!!

Kameleon Blue está en Kizimkazi, a menos de 1 km de Playa de Kizimkazi Mkunguni, y dispone de alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, jardín y terraza. Very friendly staff and amazing food! The rooms were spacy and clean. Kameleon Blue is the perfect place if you want to escape from the crowdy places. We can definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to see the more quite areas of Zanzibar.

We loved everything, from the extremely beautiful site, with very comfortable villas built directly on the beach and over the sea, the quietness and exclusivity of all the place with an immense and almost “private” beach at our feet”, the very tasteful decoration and relaxed atmosphere, the great meals in a wonderful restaurant, to the kind, friendly and joyful attitude of all the staff … the perfect environment for a unique and unforgettable holiday !

Paje Blu Boutique Hotel se encuentra en Paje, a pocos pasos de Playa de Paje, y ofrece alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, jardín y salón de uso común. The location was very quiet and peaceful, and yet only a few minutes taxi ride to the town center. The hotel was clean, well looked after and beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.
