Centrally located in Longyearbyen, Basecamp Hotel is a traditional trapper's lodge-style property just 15 minutes’ drive from Longyearbyen Airport. The airport bus stops right outside. The property is very unique in terms of the look & feel of the boutique hotel. Not too big but tastefully made. No shoes allowed inside so it stays clean thru out. Nice breakfast.

Our room was very nice and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was also very good you have a lot of choices. You can Check in an Print your flight tags directly in the hotel, this was new to us and very nice. The Hotel is perfectly in the Center of Longyear and you can reach eveything quick from here. The Bar/Restaurant ajoined the Hotel has a very nice menu and very friendly Staff. There was free Glögg and Cookies what made us very happy :).

One of the most gracious hosts I have ever come across. She was very helpful to us during our stay there. The kitchen are upstairs is lovely with a beautiful view up the valley to the glacier at the top on the one side and to the town on the other side.
