Henry was so accommodating and made such a delicious dinner for our arrival! We stopped over on our way to soussvlei as we hadn’t enough time (before nightfall) to get to seisrim. It’s an ideal stopgap, if even just staying for food!

Set in Kalkrand, Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy free bikes, an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace. Our chalet was stunning and had a lovely deck with views of the waterhole. The outside shower was great to cool down. The food was fantastic; our evening meal was like dining in an expensive restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There were well marked self-guided walking trails and we saw a lot of animals on our walk, also around the lodge. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.

Located 50 km from the Naukluft Mountain Zebra Park, the Capricorn Restcamp is surrounded by the tranquil Namibian desert. It offers simply decorated bungalows and a bar. The cottages had enough space and amenities. It was an experience worth having as you were away from the hustle of the urban space. You felt more connected to the natural world in the desert with little technology and the basics. What was wonderful was that the setup is off grid yet is self sufficient and produces much more energy than it consumes.

BuellsPort Naukluft Lodge & Farm is a beautiful family-run working horse, sheep and cow farm with big, well designed, rooms that have all amenities you could want on your trip through Namibia. Food, room, staff, horse riding were exceptional. Would recommend to anyone that is heading through that way

Boasting a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the mountain, BKZ Self-Catering is situated in Solitaire and features accommodation with free WiFi. The owners, hot showers, hospitality, views, calmness, a kitchen to prepare your food and the garden with many trees on which are hanging fruits such as oranges and others. And a small round pool ( we didn't use it though) It's an Oasis in the desert to look at. If you are driving especially at nighttime, It's quite remote and easy to miss, but the owner is a gentleman as he was waiting for us at the roadside. I don't know how long he waited but must have been a while. Shortly after we arrived, I realised that we had a punctured tyre, we decided to change it next morning, come next morning the car was lying flat on two punctured tyres ( remember don't rent a car with Avis they give you bad tyres it's known around here ) the owner helped repair a total of 3 punctures, otherwise who knows how long I had been stuck. Thanks to the gentleman.

Situated 16 km from Hoachanas, Jansen Kalahari Guest Farm is located 4 km from Intu Africa Pan. Bitterwasser Pan is 25 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site. Well equiped and maintained place, nice stylish decor. Dinner was excellent, staff very attentive. Hosts came to greet everyone which was sincere and nice touch. The farm itself situated in beautiful desert.

Built on top of a red dune, Suricate Tented Kalahari Lodge offers views of the Kalahari plains and Auob wetlands. The main lodge boasts a viewing deck with splash pool and a fire pit. Perfect place for a honeymoon! Great staff!

Featuring a terrace overlooking the swimming pool, Camelthorn Kalahari Lodge is located 30 km from Hoachanas. A great location and wonderful staff. The bungalow exceeded expectations. Very quiet and great activities offered. There were able to cater to vegetarian dietary needs. Dinner around the fire was special. I highly recommend.

Zebra Kalahari Lodge lies within the Intu Afrika Private Game Reserve and is located within a 1 hour' and 10 minutes' drive from Mariental. The lodge features a bar and sun terrace. Very nice rooms with stylish furniture. Great sunset views! Cool bar. Good food at dinners with outdoor sitting and very pretty views.
