Located within 600 metres of Matsumoto Station and 3.9 km of The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, Onyado Nono Matsumoto Natural Hot Spring provides rooms in Matsumoto. I liked everything about this hotel but my most favorite part was that we could walk barefoot in the entire hotel, a lot more hotels could do that. The check-in was smooth, our luggage was placed in our room by the staff, staff who was friendly and helpful during our entire stay there. The room was clean and the dimensions perfect, not too small (there's a nook big enough to fit 2 huge suitcases) - plus, we had a view of the train tracks which for us is a plus (if you close the windows the noise from the train is diminished so no problem here). They have this amazing onsen that you can use from 3PM until 10AM (one of the pools is built under the open sky which is the best thing when it comes to onsens); after taking a bath you can check their pretty extensive manga collection (there are chairs and a desk where you can sit and read to your heart's content) and have ice cream (for free). You can have free coffee and juice and also a free late evening snack (soba/ramen mostly). 5 mins walk from the train station. Seriously, I can't imagine what is there not to like about this hotel (considering also the price which is more than fair).

Situated right on the Nakiyama Slope of Happo One mountain, MARILLEN HOTEL by Hakuba Hotel Group features Austrian-style décor, carved wood furniture and a fireplace. It provides ski equipment... Superb hospitality from Bernd and Naoko! The staff are welcoming just like the bosses. We love the beddings. Extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast is one of the best served in hotels.

Located just a 5-minute walk from Happo One Ski Resort, Hakuba Alpine Hotel features simple rooms and outdoor hot spring baths. It is just a 5-minute drive from JR Hakuba Train Station. The staff is very nice and helpful. Location is good, just a few min walk to Happo bus terminal and convenience store. The Japanese style breakfast is very tasty, they also have coffee. Remember to reserve for breakfast or dinner early, otherwise you may miss it Our tatami room is big and clean. They have a small onsen, it's great to have a hot spring after trekking or ski . I really enjoy staying here.

Featuring a hot tub, massage treatments and tennis courts, Hotel La Neige offers rooms with a balcony and nature views. It provides a free shuttle service and free Wi-Fi. This was a lovely traditional hotel, well located for skiing. We were transferred and collected to the slopes every day which were only about 10 mins away. The staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for us. They would have our ski boots ready for us when we left the hotel and would book our taxis and recommend restaurants for the evening meals. The room was spacious with a living room as well as a bedroom. We had a nice view of snowy trees.

Located in Otari and with Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area reachable within 1.2 km, SKI INN HAKUBA provides a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and ski-to-door access. Literally EVERYTHING about this place was fantastic! We are an American family who has taken dozens of overseas trips, and this has to be the friendliest, most professional staff we have ever encountered. The degree of ease that Ski Inn Hakuba makes for a ski/snowboard vacation cannot be overstated. Amazing rooms, amazing facilities, great food options at the hotel or a short walk into town, ski instructors will pick you up from your doorstep, private parking — it has it all. Book with confidence. We will absolutely be coming back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Azumino guest house and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed retreat in the countryside. The family were helpful and generous: helping me plan my route to Kamikochi, offering a lift to the station in the early morning and providing a bike for me to go to the shop. The breakfast was superb! The bed was comfortable and the shower/ bath and toilet facilities were clean and accessible. The walk from the train station is doable, but the road is not well lit so avoid doing it in the dark.

Superb country side family house at Azumino, everything looks new and perfect, great mountain view and rice field 360 deg, incredible breakfast prepared by super friendly and helpful host, refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, microwave, kettle all available for use, host is also very helpful in planning our trip to Kurobe and Kamikochi!!

Situated in Matsumoto, 4.4 km from Matsumoto Station, Ryokan Seifuso - Vacation STAY 85475v features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Incredibly friendly and accomodating owners. Spotlessly clean. On-site parking was very useful for us. Japanese style tatami room was basic but had everything we needed.
