Know a lot complain about distance from the station, however the hotel is right next to the main entertainment street, which I really enjoyed when getting food. Really nice hotel and friendly staff.

Kyukamura Nyuto-Onsenkyo is set in Senboku, within 18 km of Tazawako Station and 23 km of Lake Tazawa. It has indoor and outdoor onsen! The ambiance of the outdoor onsen in the winter is very spectacular. They also have massage chairs and foot massages. The booking comes with delicious and sufficient buffet breakfast and dinner. When I couldn't book the airport shuttle because I could not speak Japanese well, the staff called them on my behalf and made sure that The room is very nice and clean. It's just a walk away from other onsen. You can 'rent' coat, boots, and towels for free if you want to walk outside and go to other onsen.

Hotel Folkloro Kakunodate features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Each room has a flat-screen TV. You will find a kettle in the room. Exellent location next to the train station, very nice staff and good restaurant for dinner after a long day. The breakfast is also very good with multiple options (more local than european). The room and the hotel are very clean. The room is even big for Japanese standards. The bed was very comfortable and the sunlight at 5am in the summer morning is blocked well with the curtains
