First when it was owned by a young French woman when it was called Samoria and now her brother owns it who is very nice. I love this place, the location, the rooms, the staff are the absolute best. My favourite stay at Calais. I am a dog owner and this hotel is extremely comfortable if you travel with dogs. Ask for a room on the groundfloor and you can go in and out directly from the room without passing the main entrance all the time. You can park your car practically in front of the room. In autumn and winter you can walk your dog on the beach which is a few metres away. Last time we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. I also like how the restaurant/breakfast room is layed out. There is a lot of space between the tables and last time we could bring our two dogs to the restaurant in the evening. Good value for money.

Simple room that looks like a premiere classes accommodation. Everything was clean and just enough for one night stay. Bathroom had all that was needed but note that it is tight and small.

The room was lovely and spacious, with a double bed and a single and we even got a cot free of charge and there was still loads of space in the room to do yoga, walk around, etc. The bathroom is bigger than what we have at home. :) It was clean and cleaned daily. The whole hotel is lovely, familial, superb. The breakfast was pretty good too. Location is fantastic, it's about 5 mins from the beach and most restaurants in the village.The area around the hotel is lovely to go for walks with the dog, there's also a great playground nearby. It is a great option for families and if you travel with pets.
