Housed in a former convent, built in the 15th century, the Parador de Plasencia hotel has kept its stunning, original architecture, including spacious hallways, archways and courtyards. Everything. Clean, comfortable, spacious, beautiful. Staff was great. The meal at the restaurant was better than the Michelin meal we had. We will be staying there again as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

Situated 39 km from Parque Natural de Monfragüe, POSADA EL ARRIERO offers 2-star accommodation in Torrejón el Rubio and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Excellent traditional Posada. Family-run. Room was very clean and in spite of cold weather (December), the heater worked very well. Plenty of blankets, comfortable bed. Great shower. The traditional food was excellent, local and the portions were huge, including the breakfast. Friendly reception. Perfect location for visiting Monfragüe, and the village is interesting to wander through. Free parking next to the Posada.

Situated in Plasencia, 39 km from Parque Natural de Monfragüe, Hospedium Hotel Doña Mafalda de Castilla features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The young lady which attended to us was very pleasant and did here best, however the language was a factor too.
