The hostels pretty new but you won't ever feel that, not because something's broken or unhinged but because the hosts are so good at handling everything and because everything you could possibly think of is already provided..makes it seem like they've been doing this for years. The hosts are super hospitable. The food's lovely. There's always some pretty music playing in the background so the ambience is well maintained. Just a 10/10, can't believe how much we lucked out finding about this place.

We stayed in the tree house at Kalidasa for 3 nights, what a truly magical experience we had! The accommodation in the treehouse is basic, clean and comfortable, but the setting and the hospitality of Sudheesh and his family are exceptional. Their recommended driver, Namshi, organised all our transport and arranged safaris for us. Sudheesh’s wife and mother produced delicious home cooked meals and Sudheesh was very happy to share his extensive knowledge of the area. They made our stay, in what is already a really beautiful place, as good as it could be. If you get chance to have a massage whilst you’re there, do, it’s another great experience! For a genuine local and back to nature experience, we highly recommend this place.

They have a small play area for kids. And a spacious sundeck overlooking the plantation for guests to relax sipping coffee prepared from beans locally harvested and grounded. One can also go for a morning stroll down the road or across the paddy fields, and be ready to be mesmerized by the beauty of nature's wonders.
