On a recent trip from Cancale to Paris, we found ourselves in need of a place to rest after a long day of hiking and indulging in Cancale's famous oysters. It was late, and options for high-rated accommodations were few. However, we came across CHATEAU DU BOULAY MORIN, an old French-style chateau just a few kilometers from the highway, listed on Booking.com. The chateau is located in a serene rural area, tucked behind a long stone fence and vintage-style gates. We arrived late without prior notification, and with our internet data exhausted, we were anxious about whether the staff would still be available to check us in. To our relief, the gates swung open at the press of a button, welcoming us into a silent and magical retreat. The property is nestled within roughly 40 hectares of well-maintained forest and 3 hectares of beautifully manicured gardens. The quiet ambiance, paired with the charm of the chateau's exterior, immediately gave us a sense of calm and tranquility. We were warmly greeted by a receptionist who, despite our late arrival, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He even managed to arrange some food for us, knowing that we had missed our dinner. The interior of the chateau exudes a cozy, if somewhat outdated, charm, reminding more of a family home than a typical hotel, adding to the unique experience. In the morning, we learned that the property is managed by the young children of the owners. The elder, a former lawyer, shared the captivating history of the chateau and their family as they served us a delicious breakfast. The personal touch and stories made us feel like we were guests in a family home rather than customers in a hotel, giving our stay an intimate and friendly atmosphere. This quaint chateau may not boast the glitz and glamour of a typical 4 or 5-star hotel, but it offers a uniquely charming experience that leaves an indelible mark on your memory.

Wonderful place with amazing owner very helpful And welcoming even made us breakfast very early as we were leaving early. Room was clean and bed comfy.

El Domitys La Palangre se encuentra en Le Tréport. El aparthotel sirve un desayuno continental todas las mañanas. The place is quiet and a staff is very nice and helpful. The room is big and well equipped. Fortunately has its own parking slot. Recommended!

Village house in the middle of nowhere. Very nice owner and great service! We had a dinner cooked by him special for us using local products. Relaxing and calm place! There is an option to order very delicious pizza in case your child doesn't have passion about anything else)))) French breakfast was included. We really enjoyed! Thanks, Tristan!!! 30 minutes by car from Etretat. Highly recommend!

Excellent place to stay! It is cozy, warm and nice, well designed and equipped. You feel like at home! Highly recommended!

L'Hirondelle 4 personnes - Mini-Chaumière se encuentra en Saint-Martin-Saint-Firmin, a 31 km del parque safari de Cerza y a 32 km del Museo Norman de Etnografía y Artes Populares, y ofrece parque... Absolutamente todo, pero si he de destacar algo sin duda el jardín maravilloso que tienen, nuestra perrita disfrutó mucho corriendo por él. Los propietarios encantadores. Lo recomiendo.

L'Invitation au Voyage ofrece alojamiento con aire acondicionado y bar en Honfleur, a 200 metros del Museo Norman de Etnografía y Artes Populares. The location is unbeatable, as well as the facilities. Modern boutique hotel, highly recommended. The reception staff gave us good recommendations for local restaurants and also convenient cheap parking not too far from the hotel and addressed all of our needs.

Comfortable, spacy rooms with a lot of place. Nice and very quiet area. Walking distance to center of Pontorson, with restaurants and shops. Wifi works very well. Parking place available. Very good and clear contact with onwer.
