Cozy comfortable cabin with stunning mountains view. We spent 6 days in the wonderful apartment. with our 2 children and our dog, we all slept comfortably, the beds were just right. it was warm enough in the house during mid December, and there was a beautiful fireplace too. the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could ever need for home cooking. beautiful nature hikes are within walking distance from the house. The host was super nice. wholeheartedly recommend this place

Everything was PERFECT, my husband and I loved it! The city is incredibly romantic, close to the Bastei Brücke trail. The staff was really nice, the room was beautiful, and the installations incredible. We used the sauna every evening and it was really nice to relax after so much walking. I have to say the breakfast was great, but the dinner in the restaurant was extraordinary! We also brought our corgi puppy and it went very well.

Villa Rapunzel itself is a very interesting and beautiful building, having its own tower, where you can lock a naughty princess ;) The landlords are very, very nice and friendly, and able to provide a lot of information regarding Rathen and neighbouring tourist attractions (in German language). If one wants to really enjoy Rathen and neighbouring attractions, they should come to Kurort Rathen for at least two weeks!KarolYoung couple

It was very hot outside but there was a stand fan in the room which helped a lot. The bed was soft and comfy with charging points behind the bed. The location is great. It is 15 mins by foot to the station from where there are regular trains to Dresden. Also 15 mins to the ferry which takes you across the river. You get a guest card where the cost of the ferry is included. The shared bathroom was also very clean. Overall an amazing stay!

Reading nook with great views where you can listen to the rain and read. Comfortable beds. Large and new washer and dryer for hiking clothes. Outdoor picnic table in nice garden. Friendly and helpful hosts - who speak English if needed. Great location in the middle of Saxon Switzerland and the Malerweg. Rathen itself is definitely the most quaint of the towns on the Elbe. s-bahn just across the river. Nicest place I have stayed in 10 years of European travel.
