Situated only 4 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune, The Central Motel & Lodge features an outdoor hot tub. All studios and apartments include self-catering facilities and electric blankets. Apparently the rooms were renovated 5 years ago but they are still spotless. Real quality in the kitchen, wonderful comfortable bed and the first bathroom on our trip that didn’t have some sort of issue, in fact it was super. Great location, super friendly and helpful hosts , I doubt there’s much better comfort and value in Okakune .

Set in National Park, Mountain Heights Lodge offers six self-contained motel units and four ensuite B&B rooms, BnB rooms welcomes children over the age of 14 and above. Private parking is free. We like the wooden lodge here, it is quite warm inside. There is a balcony outside our room, if there is no rain at night, we can sit outside and look up at the sky full of stars. This is a national park with beautiful scenery and only 20 minutes drive to Whakapapa ski field, we really enjoyed our time here.

Located just a 30-minute drive from Turoa Ski Area, Ossies Motels and Chalets offers a tranquil retreat. It features a sauna and BBQ facilities. Large, spacious. Great front porch with a flowing stream. Warm and comfortable

Just a 3-minute drive from the heart of Ohakune, guests enjoy a sauna and a spa and wellness centre at The Peaks Motor Inn. All rooms feature a fully equipped kitchen and a terrace with mountain... Great stay and great staff, would go again.

Situated in a quiet location off the main highway in National Park Village, Adventure Lodge and Motel is family-run accommodation offering free unlimited Wi-Fi access and a comfortable guest lounge... Nice cabin like feel, comfortably decorated. Communal kitchen and spa- nice extras!

Situated only 10 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune and with beautiful views of Mt Ruapehu from most rooms, Ohakune Court Motel offers accommodation with an en suite bathroom and a flat-screen cable... Great people, great location. Very clean and tidy. Would stay again.

Alpine Motel offers warm and comfortable accommodation in central Ohakune. Outstanding new high speed wifi access in every unit. The motel features a Spa Pool, FREE high speed WIFI and SKY TV. It was the most beautiful place to stay and we loved everthing second of it we had a visit from a friendly cat who was so lovely and we really appreciate the visit from the cat as we were missing our dog 🐕 back home thank you for a lovely great stay in your stunning country we will definitely recommend and come back again some day 😊

Tongariro Springs Boutique Suites is located in Tongariro National Park. The room was very comfortable, but could have used a rug or mat at the inside of the doorway to help keep the muck from our shoes coming into the room (it was so rainy while we were there, we weren’t comfortable leaving them outside). Really appreciated the drying room. If we come back to the park, we would probably try to stay here again.

The Hobbit Motorlodge offers a hot tub and free unlimited WiFi. It is a 50-minute drive from the Tongariro Crossing, and the property can arrange for a drop-off service at a charge. due to rain (traveling by motorcycle) and a failed attempt at the river canoe trip, I ended up staying at the Hobbit for way longer than anticipated, but my stay was fantastic and comfortable! Michelle who runs the lodge is a wonderful person and puts alot of effort in to keeping the lodge clean and comfy for guests! I would def recommend staying here if you are coming through Ohakune!
