The shepherds huts are absolutely beautiful, we had the most relaxing weekend away for Easter. The huts have everything you need and are very cosy and comfortable. Perfect location for getting out and exploring the local area and nice and peaceful. Nicky the host goes above and beyond to ensure guests have the most amazing time and is always on hand for anything else you may need or with local recommendations. She takes pride in the huts and puts extra little touches when you arrive.

It was a real fantastic and awesome accommodation in the middle of the Peak district. One of the best accommodations we had in many years. Two bedrooms with a lot of space, with high quality furniture and thick fluffy towels. And it was warm and cosy when we arrived. Everything was lovingly furnished and arranged, e.g. slate coasters in the shape of hearts in the dining room. And I especially enjoyed having a coffee machine for a good morning coffee. It is a good start for walks for example to "Stanadge Edge", "Padley gorge" or to "the roaches and lud church". And there is a great bookstore nearby (High Peak Bookstore & Cafe). There are only little things to improve this fantastic accommodation, we would recommend a toilet brush and hooks for hanging hand towels (n the bathroom with the shower). And on top of that, perhaps walking maps and advice on restaurants and places of interest nearby to explore and to get to know the Peak district with all its facets. Thanks for everything, we would love to come back.

It was stunning nice clean everything you could need and want. Really good as my son lives down the road. Lots to do locally and no doubt will be back.

Perfect location for exploring the Peak District attractions, yet out of the busy areas in your own space. Countryside walks on your doorstep. Cosy, private and quiet. Plenty of wildlife joined us including red deer and a hunting barn owl. Everything was provided and kitchen facilities and bathroom were totally adequate. Decking area with far reaching views to enjoy an evening drink. Friendly hosts.

The food was delicious especially the scrumptious Sunday lunch, even without me peas 😂- everything is reasonably priced. Our room was spotless- it provided us with everything we needed. The pub is ideally placed for travelling around. Even some of the locals were friendly - something you simply don’t find in some areas.

Quite at night and delicious cooked English breakfast. Kids eat free with 2 paying adults, what more can I say beside thank you. Staff at check in counter was efficient, super friendly and helpful. He deserves a big 5 stars. The lady at the breakfast counter, she was kind and friendly, we felt very comfortable and welcoming.
