The cottage was adorable! It had good amenities, was in a nice location and felt very homely. We were made to feel very welcome with a basket of treats. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need for cooking, with good appliances.

Photos don't do the location justice. If you want to experience Peak District farm life and hospitality we'd highly recommend this place. It is a working farm and a traditional family home so if you like the latest rustic chic style and luxury you might find it a dated but that's part of it's charm. We loved it though. Child friendly. Superb location. Interesting history. I score it 9/10 because of the little things that let it down, such as a broken lock on the bathroom door and the breakfast chef not being able to cook porridge despite two attempts. I would recommend and will stay here again.

Clean, spacious, tastefully furnished throughout with an outside seating area for our exclusive use. Very chic. Food was provided on arrival for next mornings breakfast and coffee and tea supplies were plentiful. No scrimping on quality or quantity. The proprietors are helpful and responsive to queries before and during the stay. We alsp got some super tasty cakes on arrival. Nice thoughtful touches. Parking on site and on road is easy.
