Galata Tower
Medieval Galata Tower pierces the clouds above Istanbul’s skyline, a soaring sentinel to the north of the Golden Horn. A replacement for a previous tower that was destroyed in the crusades, this one was built by the Genoese in 1348. or hundreds of years, it was the tallest building in Istanbul – and its uppermost balcony still offers unrivalled city views today.

The place has amazing vibes with the cafes surrounding the tower and the cobbled streets and all but the crowd is just crazy. Everyone wants a pic there for whatever reason and they are a painful hindrance to enjoying the place

It's good that they have installed a set of lifts to get to the top of the tower. So you are not walking up too many steps. Best to get there early or towards sunset to see spectacular views with the mosques and the sea across Istanbul.

Definitely a must.
Definitely a must. Go in the early evening as the night lights are awesome. Museum Pass is a must - this is one of the places you can visit with it. I bought a 5 day pass for 700 TL at Topkapi Palace.

I always thought that this is only a tower, you go up, see the landscape and that is all.
I was totally wrong because there is a very nice and interactive museum inside the tower. I highly recommend it.

The staff is incredible, they accommodated us by allowing early access to a room due to our flight being rescheduled five hours earlier. Their communication, prompt answers and kindness are truly outstanding!
The location is ideal, just a few minutes from the Galata Tower and close to the sea. The neighborhood is filled with numerous restaurants and great spots. Also, don't miss the breathtaking view from the hotel's top floor!
Beautiful modern apartment on the top floor of the property. Big windows so plenty of natural light. Terrace was big and had a view of Galata Tower. Bed comfortable, as was the sofa. Great location on one of the best streets in Galata.
Perfect location for exploring Istanbul. Close to Galata tower/bridge. Hotel staff were pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was included and had a wonderful selection.
This place made my visit unforgettable. It was in the heart of Istanbul with a nice terrace view seeing beautiful Galata Tower. Historical building with original concept in every room. The stuff were so kind and helpful whenever I need it. If I visit Istanbul again I would prefer Galata Design Hotel one more time with pleasure.
A lovely hotel! Excellent Room which was very clean, very cozy and silent with nice decor and new furnitures. Hotel is near Galata Tower in one of the best and popular areas of Istanbul (full of bars and resturants) well connected with everything else. Staff is very kind and helpful. Murat Yalcin in particular, has been extraordinary kind since we arrived, very attentive to details and helpful. I certainly recommend this hotel! It deserves more than 10 stars!
Our stay at the hotel was 6 days. We were extremely satisfied with the service.
The lady at the reception was very kind and helpful.
The room was clean.
We were very happy with the location of the hotel. 5 min walk from Galata tower, 2 min to metro station, 5 min to Hop on Hop off bus stop Shishane ,20 min to Bosphorus.
We will definitely visit Istanbul again and stay at Galata Istanbul Hotel !
İt was very great experience that i had been here. Employees were so intersted , room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.in addition ,the room space is large for a single room. The location of hotel is also amazing ,it is one of the closest hotel to galata tower, istiklal and taksim square. The price is affordable. I recommend to all travelers this hotel who want to stay in istanbul and wander around.
The room was elegant and extremely comfortable. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, you could see care for details and for each guest. The options for breakfast on the rooftops were magnificent both in terms of food and view. Location is perfect: close to Galata tower and short walk to Galata bridge, with plenty of options for dinner around the hotel (make sure you book in advance though! But that counts for Istanbul dining overall). I would go back any time, highly recommended.

We visited the Galata Tower at lunch time and enjoyed a great meal with a table at the window. Our soup and salad were good and the view and atmosphere were great. Much better than being crowded onto the narrow deck above.

And also good to try restaurants in Maiden or Galata Tower with perfect city view
Absolutely yes! Istanbul is open restaurant. In every corner you can find perfect meal. Good to try fish restaurant in Bosphorous, or in Çiçek Pasajı. And also good to try restaurants in Maiden or Galata Tower with perfect city view. What it can be better than that!
