The apartment is located in a separate unit of a private house in the peaceful village of Blejska Dobrava, where cows and sheep graze on nearby pastures. The spacious apartment has two floors (83 sq. meters), private entry, parking space and barbecue. It is surrounded by trees and garden with grassy area (picnic area). The apartment offers your family or friends great accommodations and relaxation after excursions, swimming, skiing and other activities that are available in the area (Bled, Bohinj, Vintgar, Triglav national park, Alps, Soča River, Avsenik museum). The apartment has two bedrooms with two beds (4 persons), kitchen equipped with all the comforts of home, living room with air-conditioning, cable TV, free WiFi, bathroom (shower and toilet), and balconette, where you can admire the mountain view while enjoying your morning coffee. An additional baby bed can be added to one of the bedrooms. Children can play on the grassy area (badminton, table tennis).
The hosts are a retired couple, who live next door. They are available to provide assistance (preparing the barbecue, suggesting excursions for lesser known destinations in the area). Hobbies change over the years, but one thing remains the same – love of nature and sports. Grandchildren have brought us joy over the last years. This is the first time that we have worked as hosts. Meeting people, who travel around Slovenia is both interesting and enjoyable. Our goal is have a score of 10 in terms of price/quality ratio.
We are near the city, but still out of reach of its noise; the highway is less than 2 km away, the regional hospital is 10-15 minutes away, supermarkets are a 7-10 minute car drive. This charming renovated apartment is located only 10km from Bled (10 minute car ride, 5km by train or 90 minutes by foot on the forest path). Ljubljana is 60 km way (35 minutes by highway). The village also has a train station with daily trains that take you to Lake Bled, further on to Bohinj, to the Soča River valley, which is among one of the »must see« tourist attractions in Slovenia. Combine that with a ride on the 100 year-old steam-engine locomotive and experience a memorable and unique family adventure.
