This spacious bed and breakfast is situated at a farm, with 90 dairy cows. It's the perfect location to discover the dutch outdoor feeling. The B&B is surrounded by grass-land, fruit plantation and animals.
About us. We are Hans van Rooijen and Hanneke van Sommeren. Hans is a farmer, Hanneke runs the B&B. We both have a lot of affinity with the outdoor life. We enjoy spending our day in and around the farm, taking care of the cows and calves, sheep and lambs, gardening and doing little jobs the yard or at the B&B. Twice a week we make our own yogurt with our fresh milk. In the nearby future we hope to make our own cheese and butter. When you are visiting our B&B, you are also more than welcome to take a closer look at the dairy cows and the farmlife.
The B&B is located nearby Utrecht centrum (drivingdistance) and national park Utrechtse Heuvelrug. At the farm you can start at the walking (hiking) trails. In the village you can rent canoes to discover de Kromme Rijn from the water. The nearby town Wijk bij Duurstede is a historical city. During the middle ages this city was known as Dorestad, a large roman trade center because of the perfect location between the rivers Lek and Kromme Rijn. This is a beautiful city to visit for some shopping, culture, galeries and monuments.
