This is my second time staying at this hostel and was the reason that I came to Tainan for. The hostel is exceptional compared to all other ones I have stayed in. There are books all over the building, incorporated with traditional Taiwanese style building. Two stays, four years apart, still my favourite hostel.

The room, public space, and the showering areas are all super claen and well-maintained. They offer maps, snacks, and free drinks at the public space. The staffs are friendly and very helpful in prividing good advises for attractions and food. The location is also very nice, safe and close to some famous spots. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Tainan.

Ideally set in the West Central District district of Tainan, 158 Hostel is set 400 metres from Chihkan Tower, 800 metres from Tainan Confucius Temple and 35 km from Neimen Zihjhu Temple. I didn’t have breakfast there, the location was excellent, and the bunk beds were roomy and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful, and my bicycle was secure tgere
