In addition, he also helped me secure a bed at the Oban Youth Hostel next day through their own system whereas there was no availability for Oban Youth Hostel on booking.com. Lorna helped me secure reservation at the fantastic sea food kitchen restaurant next door. They are so helpful. Thank you so much!!! 2. Location - Simply excellent. Walking distance to Bruichladdich distillery, bus stop (just 5 min walk), eateries and convenience store. 3. Facilities - Huge Kitchen and Lounge area with super comfy furnitures & fixtures. Open a dram in their lounge on a stormy evening and enjoy a book. You will be lost in your own world. 4. Rooms - Super clean and super comfy with lockers underneath your bed. The bed has reading light, USB charging point, UK type electric plug points and a wash basin with mirror, a table and hooks for hanging your coats & clothes. Super arrangement. 5. Toilets & Bathrooms - Super clean and well fitted.

We stayed for a week and had plenty of time to explore the local museum (you have to do the roundhouse tour), the Isle of Whithorn, the cliffs with the singing seals, Wigtown, the beach at Garlieston... all on foot and by public bus. No mass tourism, everyone is super friendly and accommodating.
