Set in Lerwick, 600 metres from Bain's Beach, Islesburgh House Hostel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Very nice staff, welcoming, helpful and friendly! I have nothing to say about the cleanliness, everything was perfect! The kitchen is huge and really well-equiped (like all the facilities of this hostel!). Showers and toilets are in your room, which is very pratical (and there’s more along the corridor). Reception is open at every hour (if there’s nobody, you just have to go to the Isleburgh community centre next door), you can store your luggage. I am pretty sure I’ll stay again in this hostel!!

The Dolphin Inn Hostel features free bikes, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Dunbar. Thank you so much to the lovely hosts (Lisa and Neil). I loved that the hostel was so close to the train station, that it was sparklingly clean, that I had a lovely view from my room, that the kitchen facilities were everything I needed and more! Also that I could do laundry there, that a good variety of restaurants were so close--just down the main street, and that my hosts were so generous with their local knowledge. Thank you again for a lovely visit! I will happily stay there again!

The hostel is located in a picturesque nature reserve and surrounded by mountains and the sea. I can not express how beautiful the location is, you must see it. The pod was equipped quite well, it was also warm. Ruth is exceptional host and was very helpful and nice.

New Town Hall Bunkhouse is offering accommodation in Whithorn. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Guests can enjoy mountain views. We stayed for a week and had plenty of time to explore the local museum (you have to do the roundhouse tour), the Isle of Whithorn, the cliffs with the singing seals, Wigtown, the beach at Garlieston... all on foot and by public bus. No mass tourism, everyone is super friendly and accommodating.

Boasting a garden and a shared lounge, Newcastleton Bunkhouse is set in Newcastleton, 39 km from Thirlwall Castle and 39 km from Cumbria County Council. Amazing place to stay on our cycling trip. Great bike storage and immaculate room.
