Super special Fiji experience to be staying in a village. Every meal we had with a different family was a great way to taste different food and meet another family.We did our own snorkeling during the days or local activities . We learnt about many aspects of their lives. The children went to school everyday on a boat in front of our hut. We said that if we could be 10 % Fijian after this experience we would be. This is because they shine as kind hearted, generous natured people...Thanks so much to this being available.

Do this only if you want an authentic experience! It’s not like going to a touristy island. I had excellent home cooked meals and mingled with the locals. We chose it for the experience and supporting the local community. It was great to meet the village chief and the children from the kindergarten. If you are after an off the beaten track, this is a place. Just bear in mind, this is the northern side of Yasawa groups, the boat journey can be challenging with younger children.

The prior information was clear for any traveller to know that they would be getting a truly local life experience. The host family were extremely welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful.
