Located in Parndana in the Kangaroo Island region, Wedgetaildown features a garden. Guests can benefit from a patio and a picnic area. We stayed at Wedgetaildown (on Kangaroo Island) for three nights but wish it could have been longer. We arrived near dusk and were immediately captivated by the wildlife that greeted us as we proceeded down the long drive to the property. Peter and Betty are terrific hosts and extremely knowledgeable of Kangaroo Island. They went above and beyond to make our island experience more than we could have imagined, helping us refine our itinerary, recommending restaurants, and providing numerous other insights. We enjoyed feeling their passion for the island and its wildlife. Inside, the guesthouse was very spacious and clean, fully up-to-date and sustainable, and contained everything we needed to feel at home, with an ample supply of breakfast food to use at our convenience. The guesthouse is located on a large, open, quiet, majestic property teaming with kangaroos that entertained us each morning and evening; yet it is still centrally located making the entire island very accessible. For example, we were able to visit Seal Bay to the South, Flinders Chase National Park to the West, Stokes Bay and Kingscote to the North, and American River and Penneshaw to the East – and we still had time to walk, explore, and experience their expansive Wedgetaildown property and gaze well into the night at the most star filled sky we had ever seen. We highly recommend Wedgetaildown as your base of operations for experiencing Kangaroo Island. Set overlooking the beautiful Pelican Lagoon, this holiday home features open-plan living across five split levels. Made of stone and recycled timbers there are sea views from every room. A well designed house which kept temperature stable day and night. Beautiful views / sunsets and tranquil setting.

Wanderers Rest on Kangaroo Island is a small seaside guest house. The beautiful venue has come into new management, a small family run business. Individual family operated accommodation. Dhea is a very friendly and considerate host. She has managed very flexible and generous the problems with our itinerary. We got a comprehensive breakfast with an amazing ocean view in the breakfast location. We fully recommend this accommodation Irene and Frank from Berlin/ Germany

Featuring sea views, The Anchorage Cottage Kangaroo Island features accommodation with water sports facilities and a balcony, around 37 km from Christmas Cove Marina. The decor in the Anchorage was quirky and colourful. The property was well equipped and in a good location. I would definitely stay there again as I thought it was reasonably priced and value for money. Kangaroo Island is always a magnificent place to visit.
