Jo was as welcoming as a dear friend. The property felt as if you had stepped into a rural French countryside cottage. It was immaculately clean and well decorated. Meals were unbelievably well prepared with fresh herbs and vegetables, creative dishes, and the most fresh breads. The location was convenient to all attractions in the Hunter valley. Jo had suggestions for wineries we may not have otherwise visited. All dogs and persons who visited the property were friendly and well behaved. We cannot express our gratitude enough for a rejuvenating weekend.

Built in 1860, the historic Bronte Boutique Hotel is located just 50 meters from the Hunter River. Excellent location, everything in walking distance. Friendly welcome by Kerrie, who rang us that our room was ready earlier than first advised and then showed us around and explained the facilities. Good size beautiful room, nice and cool when we arrived as the "heath was on" on that day, comfortable bed, excellent shared area, coffee machine/tea making facilities with plenty of choice. Port and chocolates available in the sitting room, which is beautiful and comfortable. Water and nibbles in the room. Cooked breakfast on the terrace, served by two lovely young ladies. Everything was perfect.
