Me and my wife absolutely loved staying here on Hachijo for three nights, fantastic location near nice restaurants, we also rented a car while there from Kencha Rumah for a very reasonable price as well. All in all a nice stay on a beautiful island.

Keiko and Kenta were exceptional hosts. Their home is beautiful and comforting. Great view from the deck, you can see Aogashima in the distance on a clear day, and the Milky Way up above on a clear night. They have notebooks with wonderful messages from guests dating back to 2006!

The host very kind to pick us up from airport and drop us to have lunch at a local famous restaurant. Very spacious room and clean. The host likes music so named the room with vocal range 😆

Keiko and Kenta were very nice and attentive hosts, staying in the Guesthouse almost felt like home. Also they had some good advice for travelling around the island or good places for coffee/dinner. Last but not least we really want to come back. We are pretty sad that the four days are over.

The owners are super nice and sweet - we had such a great stay and experience, it was definitely unique! (Thanks for the coffee and tea btw) The view, the people, just laying outside to see the stars, everybody was super friendly and welcoming! The shared room is very big and comfortable. Additionally, they gave us ideas of where to go and what to visit and eventually showed us around a bit! I will definitely choose this Guest house again if I come back to the island! And it is the first time I recommended a Hotel to friends after my stay!

The Guesthouse feels like a home away from home! The owners are incredibly friendly and inspiring people. They were helpful, forthcoming and accommodating. The location is beautiful as there is a stunning view from the deck and a pizza place nearby for dinner. It’s in the middle of the forest so it’s a great place to see the stars and listen to nature. The house is cozy and there is everything you need there. It’s beautifully decorated with art and plants. The WiFi is fast enough for facetime and WFH.

This beautiful guesthouse seems like a magician house from a Ghibli film. It is hidden deep in the woods with only one path between the trees. It is a perfect place for people who like nature and silence. At night it is completely dark and quiet. You can really relax in there. The owner, mrs. Keiko, is a talented artist and the whole house is decorated with her paintings and earthware.

The room was well appointed and clean, just off a large communal area with decent cooking facilities and plenty of books, information and games to borrow. The guesthouse is an easy walk away from a supermarket, one of the few restaurants that was open, and the botanical gardens where we saw glowing mushrooms at night (the visitor center guide showed us where to find them in the daytime). The guest house also has a number of cars it rents out to guests which was extremely convenient.
