Me and my wife absolutely loved staying here on Hachijo for three nights, fantastic location near nice restaurants, we also rented a car while there from Kencha Rumah for a very reasonable price as well. All in all a nice stay on a beautiful island.

Great view from the deck, you can see Aogashima in the distance on a clear day, and the Milky Way up above on a clear night. They have notebooks with wonderful messages from guests dating back to 2006!

(Thanks for the coffee and tea btw) The view, the people, just laying outside to see the stars, everybody was super friendly and welcoming! The shared room is very big and comfortable. Additionally, they gave us ideas of where to go and what to visit and eventually showed us around a bit! I will definitely choose this Guest house again if I come back to the island! And it is the first time I recommended a Hotel to friends after my stay!EmelyGroup

They were helpful, forthcoming and accommodating. The location is beautiful as there is a stunning view from the deck and a pizza place nearby for dinner. It’s in the middle of the forest so it’s a great place to see the stars and listen to nature. The house is cozy and there is everything you need there. It’s beautifully decorated with art and plants. The WiFi is fast enough for facetime and WFH.

It is hidden deep in the woods with only one path between the trees. It is a perfect place for people who like nature and silence. At night it is completely dark and quiet. The guesthouse is an easy walk away from a supermarket, one of the few restaurants that was open, and the botanical gardens where we saw glowing mushrooms at night (the visitor center guide showed us where to find them in the daytime). The guest house also has a number of cars it rents out to guests which was extremely convenient.HarrietFamily with young children
