Lovely breakfast on a terrace with knock-out views. Beautiful and tranquil garden (but don't ask about the mosquitos..!). A bit out of Stresa so you def need a car but there is ample parking. Lovely to have a cat on the premises, too! Really would recommend.

Lovely, modern room, really yummy, locally sourced products for breakfast, location was very peaceful - we were just happy to sit in the garden and read, surrounded by the forest. Francesca is very friendly and has a very interesting other business. You need your own transport to get here really - around a 7 min drive into Arona but we did find pretty easily free parking in the centre. 3 nights we stayed and 3 nights we ate very well in Arona at Anticogallo, Contatto and La Ruga del corso. Definitely take the boat to Stresa - finding a parking was a nightmare!

The animals in the property were beautiful as well. Dinner at the agriturismo was wonderful!!

Set in the hills above Verbania, Agriturismo Monterosso is a working farm from 1888. It produces its own meat, fruit and vegetables, which you can sample in the restaurant and buy to take home. There are about 60 steep curves from Verbania until one reaches the top of Monterosso where the hotel is. But once you overcome those obstacles, you have the most beautiful view over Lago Maggiore (including Isola Bella), excellent home-made meals from local ingredients and relaxing atmosphere.

With panoramic views of the Alps and Lake Maggiore, Agriturismo Da Attilio offers a peaceful location and a traditional restaurant, a 25-minute drive from Cannobio. The view of Lago Maggiore was amazing. The food was some of the best I had in Italy during out stay. There were lots of great hiking trails nearby. The staff was friendly and their pets were adorable.

Set in Ticino Nature Park, Cascina Campaccio is in Taino, 5 minutes' drive from the shores of Lake Maggiore. This country-style house features a cosy lounge with fireplace. This b&b was nicely decorated, very clean and staff was very pleasant. It was a bonus to have a sauna in the room.
