Great property with a lot of attention to detail. For example, the breakfast felt really well thought through and there was always a little extra variety each day. Generally, the quality of food was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and considering the size of the hotel, facilities like the pool were amazing.

Villa Juliana is a coastal gem located on the pristine shores of Jambiani, Zanzibar. At our beachfront villas, authenticity meets modern comfort, and luxury embraces nature and sustainabilty. Super friendly staff and the most beautiful view to the sea. The villa integrates tanzanian architecture beautifully in the building. It's simple without air conditioner but with love. Also the food was amazing and whenever I had a question I got help right away. The place is quite and relaxing. Would love to come again

Loved everything but most especially the staff. They all consistently went above and beyond: they repaired a broken book I had very carefully with tape, found me a unique travel adaptor (I needed an Australian input, which is always annoying!) and one amazing waitress even lent me 5000TSH from her own wallet to pay the remainder of my taxi fair given I didn’t have the right change at the time (repaid of course, but so thoughtful)! Like, wow! A very special shout-out to Rachel the waitress who was always so hospitable and felt more like a lovely friend looking out for me whilst I was otherwise travelling solo—an absolute gem, although I could mention many others!

The hotel is on and almost in the Indian ocean. At high tide the waves strikes heavily the barriers of the beach stretch. The power of the ocean is amazing. The management care for details in all aspects, coushions on the beach beds, quality wooden beautiful furnitures in restaurant and outside rooms, amazing breakfast buffet with everything you need. The nearness to the ocean makes a quite narrow beach stretch which is positive: the beach boys are few cause they have very little space. I really like the local life of villagers and fishermen which you can watch and enjoy from the hotel. It gives whole Jambiani an authentic feeling. The restaurant is situated on the second floor which gives it a very fresh breeze. The food is tasty and rich. The staff cares for you, tries to remember your name and tries their absolutely best to make you feel like home.
