Amazing stuff that was happy to accommodate all our wishes. Life African music&dances, fair prices for the good quality food and beverages, bao game "classes" :)

Liked it so much that I extended my stay! Loved everything but most especially the staff. They all consistently went above and beyond: they repaired a broken book I had very carefully with tape, found me a unique travel adaptor (I needed an Australian input, which is always annoying!) and one amazing waitress even lent me 5000TSH from her own wallet to pay the remainder of my taxi fair given I didn’t have the right change at the time (repaid of course, but so thoughtful)! Like, wow! A very special shout-out to Rachel the waitress who was always so hospitable and felt more like a lovely friend looking out for me whilst I was otherwise travelling solo—an absolute gem, although I could mention many others!

Blue Oyster is a hotel that meets all the expectations one might have. A down to earth, romantic, authentic beach hotel. Staff is very friendly and professional, rooms are clean and the accomodation breaths rest & peace. food was deliciuos.
