Overlooking Douro River in Porto, the 5-star Palácio Do Freixo is set in a restored 18th-century Baroque building. The hotel is beautiful, the breakfast is amazing and especially the people working at the hotel are so so wonderful. They made our trip to Porto one to remember for a long time.

Set 50 metres from the Campanhã Train and Metro Station, Poveira Hotel is a family-run guest house in Porto. Situated in a historic building, it offers a well-stocked bar and a coffee shop. The staff were the kindest and sweetest and most helpful hotel staff I have ever encountered in all Portugal. I so appreciated their help in getting me an Uber driver at 3 in the morning to get to the airport. The location was great, and the little Portuguese restaurant three doors down that they recommended was a delightful place also. Thank you so much, Poveira staff for providing me a beautiful little haven where I could rest and rely on others to help take care of me. I was sick, and I needed that lovely, calm hotel at a price I could afford.

I recently stayed at O’LOPO hostel and it was awesome! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a long or short term stay in Porto. One of the standout features of O’LOPO hostel is its fantastic atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home🫶🏻They were always available to answer any questions I had and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms and common areas were always spotless, and the staff made sure to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout my entire stay. Good showers with hot water and good pressure. The kitchen was a big plus. It has everything you need. I saved money by cooking my own meals. The location was perfect, O’LOPO hostel is conveniently situated within a 10-minute walk of supermarkets, laundry, cafes, and both bus and train stations. This made it incredibly easy for me to explore Porto and its surrounding areas. Additionally, the hostel is located in a quiet area, and I always felt safe even when returning late at night. The only noise you can hear is your neighbors, everything inside the hostel is quite audible.

We could tell there is a lot of care that goes into this apartment. Well maintained, clean and everything we could need to prepare meals, was provided. Being met at check-in was a nice touch. I appreciated the run through of how things operated, and the port samples were a nice added bonus! The back yard was a great place to sit and enjoy our morning coffee. It was also nice being only a 3-5 min walk from the grocery store.
