Great place to stay if you want to explore the western side of Crete. Our apartment was spacious and sparkling clean. We didn't use the small kitchen so can't comment on that, but we did had an electric kettle and a french press to brew fresh coffee in the mornings. One more thing - I needed to check in very late and the hosts were kind enough to provide that.

Typical Greek seaside town with adequate facilities, plenty of tavernas and some good shops. A bit scruffy and run down in places with some derelict buildings, badly maintained public walkways and litter. Some smart hotels but otherwise feels a bit run down. Great location for those wanting to visit tourist destinations across west Crete.

Its rather small and quiet village, with few cafes and restaurants near by. The beach is ok, especially for families. If you walk parallel to the coastline you will find a beautiful ancient monastery.

You should not believe the good reviews this place had.
You should not believe the good reviews this place had. The place is isolated and hard to find. Unpleasant location with building going on around it and many stray dogs. It doesn’t have any hotel facilities but cannot be regarded as a self catering apartment as no facilities to prepare or eat food. It is miserable and we left after one night . We were alone in the place all night
The only interesting place in the vicinity was a monastery about 25 min walk away

The place is very far and inconvenient to get to, there is nothing in the area except the hotel you choose to stay in and you should also pay attention to that, because there are a few good hotels, everything else should stay away from them. The beaches are not so accessible for swimming and there are usually high waves, from October it gets very cold with strong winds in the area which makes it even more difficult to relax and enjoy a good tan or a walk on the beach.

The local government needs to invest more in the infrastructure, and complete half-finished projects, such as installing the missing lampposts and planting trees or shrubs in the erstwhile empty planters. There were also signs of unsightly fly-tipping. Pity that I noticed that there were no bring in sites and locals seemed to dispose of domestic waste without separating the recyclable from the organic.
There is a good supermarket within walking distance, so one can stock up easily. The seaside restaurants serve fresh local food and are very fairly priced. A very quiet town and no evident nightlife.

Quiet small village with an authentic atmosphere.
Quiet small village with an authentic atmosphere. There are some wonderful hidden gems in the neighborhood. Lack of very noisy, touristy spots is a bonus - it feels very relaxing, calm and private. A great place to stay when exploring the west of the island. Accessible by public bus directly from Chania.
My stay in Panthea Luxury Living was one of the best that I experienced and I am travelling a lot. Smooth check in, perfect modern cosy clean room with comfortable bed, perfect bathroom and great balcony with amazing view. Cleaning every day like in 5 star hotel. Nice pool with comfy sun beds. And Stella. She is amazing and I’m grateful for her assistance. Totally recommend this apartment. Believe me, you’ll not regret for sure.
The hotel was really amazing for the price we paid,it was clean, the room was nice and cozy and the ac as well as everything in the room was working perfectly 😃!!!The gentleman at the bar was a great surprise as he was really good at his work and he was very informative about all the questions we had for the area and of course places of interest!!!!We will definitely come back to this paradise next year for sure 😊
We strongly recommend staying there for a few nights if you wish to visit the West of Crete. While it is a small village, it is a perfect hub for Chania, Balos, Elafonissi, Samaria, etc…
The Hotel is owned by Emilio, a super nice guy that will give you great recommendations (you need to follow them, you won’t regret it!)
The rooms are spacious and modern, all well equipped.
We stayed at Galini Palace for 6 nights all inclusive, the room was spacious with a nice view, the room and the hotel were clean, big pool with many sunbeds, the beach is just across the road from the hotel, and there is super market and a bus station right outside the hotel if you are interested in taking the bus to Chania.
The staff were all really nice and helpful.
I wish I could find more small hotels like this. It is beautifully done, unique, and very comfortable. You can see that the owner takes great pride in his hotel, and he has thought about taking care of his guests as if he would stay there himself. We slept very well (CocoMat beds are amazing) and enjoyed staying here. Thank you to Stelios for such great hospitality.
Location of hotel is perfect for those who wants to take a trip to Balos, Falasarna or Elafonissi beach.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They provided us with beach towels, sun umbrellas and proposals for trips.
Appartment is well equipment. Breakfast by the pool is also delicious.
We recomend this hotel due to good price, nice appartment and friendly staff.
Breakfast had a good selection of foods and the Hotel was generally clean. Restaurant staff were helpful and obliging.
Food varied daily, so that was good, and so was breakfast. The free drinks included in the 'All Inclusive' were good . . . wine, beer, soft drinks and cocktails were all good.
Hotel size and facilities were great. The staff were very friendly and available throughout the day for anything we needed. Special thanks to Ellie from the front desk for welcoming us and arranging the various excursions to the beautiful surrounding islands/beaches.
we stayed at the hotel 5 days with 3 kids-7,5,3

The hotel is very nice, clean, with big and comfortable apartments. We had breakfast and dinners and the food was delicious.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The two pools and aqua park are clean and nice.
Beautiful gardens and cozy area.
Super clean room with comfortable beds.
Extremely kind owners ready to support you.
Cleaning services every day!
Good view to the sea side.
Bus station just in front of the hotel.
Calm area.
Perfect air conditioning.
We really liked the location of the hotel which was perfect Just few meters from the beach. Swiming pool was nice. Hotel manager was super nice, helped us with many bookings for taxi, scooter, etc. Great breakfast.
I cannot believe that all the glowing reviews about this place are genuine. it isn’t a hotel as no kettle in room or any staff support. not an apartment as had no facilities to make a drink or prepare and eat food
Lovely hotel situated right on the beach with bus link to Chania every 20 minutes. Amazing staff in reception and restaurant, all went above and beyond to make our stay special. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
Overall the hotel was clean, with nice views (the pool was definitely a plus on the view side), more than decent breakfast and friendly and helpful staff.
everything and everyone was so nice. highly recommended hotel. The highlight is how friendly and polite was every single person there. thank you so much!
