We were most interested in finding a spot close to the beach, away from crowds, close to reef for snorkeling and nature preserve for walking. Casas Del Mar checked all of those boxes. We were able to visit the livelier communities such as Cahuita, Puerto Viejo, and Punta Uva, but then retreat to Manzanilla and the quiet (waves, birds, and monkeys) that we had hoped for…
We were there for a weekend and a holiday during our one week stay, and the beach and community was a destination for locals during those days, but even then pretty quiet after dark and in the mornings.

The location is amazing, just a couple of blocks from the park and the beach. The house is fully equipped, clean and comfortable. The forest that surrounds the house is full of wildlife and it makes you truly feel in paradise. We saw monkeys, tucanos, eagles, hawks, raccoons, sloths and all kind of birds. We had an amazing time.
