Fantastic place, with great character. You see volcano, external walls of the accomodation are tastefully made volcanic stones, neraby village is very nice. Claudio (owner) is very helful and happy to talk about the island and region, we learned a lot. Welcome basket was very appreciated. Do not worry about nearby airport, no planes in night. Evenings on the terrace were fabulous (good weather helped).

They make it a point to make you feel welcome. Left us some snacks and drinks in the mini fridge and also gave access to their kitchen if need be. They cleaned our room each morning. The location is not on a main road, so prepare yourself for off-roading. And if you have luggage, it needs to be carried down a trail path and up the steps into the room. Ana prepared us for the possibility of non-harmful insects since the location is surrounded by nature, which is expected. But they clean each day.

Csodálatos helyen van a szállás, az erkélyről a Sao Jorge szigetre lehet rálátni, igazán relaxáló volt ott üldögélni. A ház mindennel felszerelt, kényelmes volt. A házigazda nagyon kedves, első nap meglepett minket reggelire valókkal, tej, sajt, kenyér, helyi üdítő és saját készítésű házilekvárok. Mind nagyon finom volt!:-) Ezt a patinás házat egy kis csodás oázissá varázsolta a tulajdonosa. Csak ajánlani tudom.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a pool with a view, sea view and a balcony, Casa d'Avó Francisco is set in Madalena. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. A gem of a spot close to the ocean with everything we needed. We loved visiting the lava tubes on Pico island and Cella bar.

Located in São Roque do Pico in the Pico island region, Casa Da Lava features a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a patio. The property offers barbecue facilities and parking on-site. We had a wonderful time at the Casa Da Lava. With Paola’s information (Google Maps pin and house number) the house was easy to find, even at night. It was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable. The wi fi worked perfectly, so did the hot water (no problems with pressure or temperature), and it is NOT filled with insects as other reviews say, we saw a couple but that is only normal when you have nature around (I do not like insects and had no issues). This place is not ideal if you are looking for a modern minimal vibe, but if you like romantic country houses it is very beautiful and we strongly recommend it.
