From arrival to departure everything was perfect! The property and the owner were great, a lot of extra thoughtful thinks. The bed was so comfortable we slept in.

We had a wonderful night at this boutique Hotel. The Casa is just beautiful and very comfortable and stylish. Our room was just perfect, with a stunning wooden ceiling and beautiful linen and furnishings. A nespresso machine was also very welcome. Our hosts were very welcoming & friendly and gave lots of helpful tips on our visit to the city centre . We had an evening meal at the Casa of delicious tapas, wine & brandy. Although located in a rural area, the setting was quiet and relaxing and just a very short drive into the city. Parking was a bonus. Thank you so much for a memorable stay and great hospitality.We would thoroughly recommend.

This was one of my favorite lodging experiences, and I've stayed in about 1000 places. Maica's hospitality is extraordinary: she is the perfect innkeeper. The property is atmospheric and calming, and just on the outskirts of town so convenient by car to Santiago. Maica will even tell you where to get free parking for your sightseeing. Our room was large and comfortable: I think Maica gave us a free upgrade to the nicest room she had left. Breakfast was excellent and certainly worth the few Euro she charged. Overall, this property provides extraordinary value for money.

Communication with Maria was excellent, both before ad during our stay. When we arrived Maria and her son provided ample explanation of the house and getting in to the centre of Santiago. Maria had left loads of food for us, including a galecian pie and apple tart, and other things to numerous to mention. This was especially appreciated, as we had just finished the Camino, so it meant that we did not have to go out for dinner on the first evening. The property has a lovely pool and hot tub. Unfortunately the weather was too bad to use the pool, but the hot tub was beautifully set in the rocks, so could be used at any time. The house is beautiful and full of character. We made great use of the orange tree in the garden for freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning. The centre of Santiago is a 40 minute walk, or £1 on the bus. Maria also organised a taxi for us to the airport. If we come back to Santiago again I would definitely stay at Casa de Afora again!

Excellent! Probably one of the best dinners I have had during our Camino Portuguese walk. Very hospitable. Met all our needs including accommodating for special diet and shipping backpack. It was also nice that they were able to provide an ice pack for my knee injury.

Pilar was very friendly and her house is so beautiful! The environment is great and there's a lot of nature. The breakfast was good and Pilar made us feel like we were at home.
