We were just driving through and needed a place to stay. The hostess was lovely and accommodating. The unit is fully equipped nice kitchen, braai and the rooms are comfy with a backup generator. As a bonus (if you like animals) there were donkeys sheep and chickens to hang out with. Would stay there again anytime.

It was so beautiful and peaceful on the farm and it really felt like a home away from home. The owners, Marthalie and Neels, were so kind and hospitable. This cottage, styled with South African charm, offers all the comforts for a pleasant holiday. Our host, Braam, graciously showed us around on arrival and made us feel like we were visiting a friend. The rooms were adorned with fresh flowers and tasteful décor, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. In addition to the usual appliances, I vividly remember a diverse selection of spices, tea, coffee, and lovely pottery. Both bedrooms were comfortable and complemented the cozy atmosphere. Outside, there's a veranda and an additional braai area that we used. Firewood was readily available, and we safely parked our two cars in the garage. It was a delightful experience, and we will certainly consider returning at some time in the future.

Extraordinary accomodation in a luxury version of a Shepered Waggon.. Everything there you need. Nice terrace with hammock. In the middle of the nature, mountain view and birds everywhere. Interesting and kind hosts. We decided immediately to stay another night.

This was our second visit to Bibi's Joy and we were not disappointed. It is comfortable, spacious and off the grid - no worries about loadshedding. Peter, as always, is a great communicator and will respond within minutes to any questions one might have. This year he added two rechargable fans for the bedrooms - this was great as our weather was a bit on the warm side. Bibi's Joy is very quiet, private and in a very natural environments. Great place to relax and unwind and yet be relatively close to Swellendam.
