a well appointed cottage, comfortable beds, great layout and shower! so peaceful just outside of the town of Carterton. While on the main road, well set back so it didn’t disturb us. Loved the friendly animals! Catherine was a great host, was able to be there when we arrived, but left us too it. we sat out on the deck in the sun for a few drinks both nights. it was so relaxing after busy days shopping in Featherston, Greytown and wine tours in Martinborough!

Located at the edge of Carterton the cottage is a good base to explore the Martinbourough-region. We also made trips to Cape Palliser, to the Putangirua Pinnacles (the Dimholt Road for lotr-fans), the Rivendell-location and the Waiohine-Gorge. Breakfast with homemade bread and fresh eggs was outstanding and the hosts recommended lovely restaurants. Last but not least - we loved Hazel and Lotta, the two dogs of the family. We'll try to come back soon!

This was an absolutely amazing place to stay and we will definitely be back. So relaxing to be away from everything but also close enough to town to go do some sightseeing. I loved the decor and the bathroom as well.

Lovely property - private and intimate. Quick 5 minute walk into town. Hosts were very polite & helpful. Nice to get George’s (the cat) seal of approval!

Very tidy cottage , very clean with a nice setting . We arrived very late and this wasn’t a problem for the owners . In the Morning there was a fresh loaf of bread made with eggs on the bench for breakfast, lovely touch. We meet the owners in the morning really great people also . I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting something authentic and comfortable.
